SOME F13 CONNECTIONS.
If you've been reading the indictments filed on F13, the observant student will notice some interesting connections. The person named as AC, an unindicted co-conspirator turns out to be Arturo Castellanos, a Mero doing all day. Known variously as "Tablas" and sometimes "Spider," Castellanos is (was) a close associate of Tigger Salinas (Avenues), Salvador "Mon" Buenrostro (Jardin) and Daniel "Spider" Arriega (Maravilla). While he was on the street, Salinas paid regular tribute to Tablas, Mon and Spider but apparently fell out of favor after he got rolled up in murder case (a personal, non business-related beef) and sentenced to LWOP.

Just to backfill some history, Mon was stabbed up in the attorney's room by Rene "Boxer" Enriquez and Ben "Topo" Peters during the first RICO trial in 1995. Mon survived. Boxer, as we all know by now, has debriefed and PC'd up some years ago. Arriega was killed in Chino (the town, not the prison) by some Border Brothers behind some deal gone sideways. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Enjoy.

A plan by the Los Angeles Police Department's counter-terrorism bureau to map Muslim groups in the city has angered civil rights activists and community leaders, it was reported Friday.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the LAPD wants to create a map of Muslim groups in order to help communities avoid the influence of radicals seeking to incite "violent, ideologically-based extremism."

"We are seeking to identify at-risk communities," LAPD deputy chief Michael Downing told the Times. "We are looking for communities and enclaves based on risk factors that are likely to become isolated.

"We want to know where the Pakistanis, Iranians and Chechens are so we can reach out to those communities."

The Times quoted Downing as saying that the Muslim Public Affairs Council had indicated support for the program "in concept."

The group's executive director Salam Al-Marayati told the newspaper it wanted to meet with the LAPD next week to discuss the issue.

"We will work with the LAPD and give them input, while at the same time making sure that people's civil liberties are protected," said Al-Marayati, commending Downing's "forthright engagement with the Muslim community."

However the plan was condemned by other Muslim groups, with the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California accusing the LAPD of "racial profiling."

"We certainly reject this idea completely," the council's executive-director Shakeel Syed told the Times. "This stems basically from this presumption that there is homogenized Muslim terrorism that exists among us."

The Los Angeles branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations also criticized the plan. Council official Hussam Ayloush said mapping "basically turns the LAPD officers into religious political analysts, while their role is to fight crime and enforce the laws."

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and community groups have a letter to the LAPD expressing "grave concerns" about the program, reports said.

"The mapping of Muslim communities . . . seems premised on the faulty notion that Muslims are more likely to commit violent acts than people of other faiths," the Times quoted the letter as saying.

According to reports an estimated 500,000 Muslims live in the Greater Los Angeles area, the country's second-biggest concentration outside of New York.

Hey here's an idea from an old con,
Run the LAPD Terrosists = Muslims plan by the Feds, the Bush people will love it, take all this feria and don't use it for the intelligence program, it's probably unconstitutional anyway.
But get the money! And like Bernard Parks diversion of "trash pickup tax money" to his crony's pockets, use the lana to hire more cops or whatever Chief Bratton feels is a good use for it.
What you think will happen? Is someone going to complain if the moneys are used for more LAPD needs?

Do it Bratton, one good turn deserves another, just get the lana!
And don't tell anybody I gave you the idea.

85% of the post are d.q. oh that must be you again don.

It probably was, but who cares. I'm about ready to scrap this business. The intended topic doesn't really interest me (gangs) and as the yr progresses we'll have more and more of the same political shit that both party's love to see you kick around. I couldn't care less, you shouldn't either. There must be a shitload of bored people out there?

This fool DQ and his new sidekick SNS (Rutger's point guard) have had their run. Their points are redundant, repetitive, and no longer even funny in the absurd sense. Rutger's brings a snooty attitude to the table, and has been dragged through the muck so much one has to wonder why he returns. Don Q is a proven liar and his condescending, suck up nature discredits the same raza he defends at every juncture. the guy's a rooty-poop. He's a ventriliquist's dummy, somebody's rusty ol mouthpiece. I suppose he intended for me to get tired of dumping his stupid posts? I haven't, shit I dig smearing his immature paste ups at every op. I have to wonder whether he'll be really absent while he ventures So. to Mexico? Maybe Santiago will post up lots in order to prove the donita is really outta dodge.. But hey folks, who cares??? He likes to claim we're obsessed with his personas here and at the Hat, but really he's such a unique case of a truly lonely individual that it is interesting in a prurient sort of way to see how he'll respond to various taunts. It's cruel to play with his mind, but it's human, and it's really not hurting anybody. If anything its a live demonstration of abnormal behaviour.

It might be nice to merely post up my impressions of his dementia and totally eliminate the comments feature. Face it, we got us a shitfest here.. Though I do enjoy your varied responses to the silly old vato.. His claims of "hangin with the Meros" is hilarious, and you enjoy it too, to your credit..Sure it makes you a little ill when he comes with his "wallista tribune" turds, or how he buddies up to Wally like they're primos. In truth Wally knows he bottomed out, and now to HIS credit he's coming with pertinent, muckraking posts. It's his forte'.. He does it well. His public speaking could use some polish, and at times one needs to wonder whether he hasn't too approached the "burn out" point in his gangbusting endeavors.. Ironically Wally probably needs a vacation more than don queerjote..

All the racial shit that pops up has gotten old too. I've never had a doubt that EME provokes the moves against blacks by the southsiders. It's business sure, but its also an extension of their mindset, the one they HAVE to hold in prison. Street gangs are only as dangerous as their depth. Without the numbers, they're just ignorant fools, who're too lazy to hit the bricks and be productive. Race is a non-element except for the comfort they find in they're tribal construct..

OLD STORY WITH A POSSIBLE NEW USE...

'Wings' to carry paratroopers 200km. 27/05/2006. ABC News Online: "A new military parachute system which fits wings on soldiers could enable them to travel to 200 kilometres after jumping, Jane's Defence Weekly reports.

The system, which involves the development of new modular carbon-fibre wings, will mean that aircraft can drop parachutists from 9,150 metres into an area of operations without flying into a danger zone.

Trials of the modular wing are being developed by the German firm Elektroniksystem und Logistik and Draeger.

They are due to finish by the end of 2006, with the entire parachute and wings combination expected to be available during 2007.

Peter Felstead, the editor of Jane's Defence Weekly, says the new system has been in use with the German Army since 2003.

But he says the development of the new wing means soldiers can travel much further than the current 48 kilometres.

'The new wing will also reduce the impact of wind conditions on the jumper and allow operatives to travel up to 40 kilometres carrying loads of around 100 kilograms,' Mr Felstead said.

'The system is reportedly 100 per cent silent and extremely difficult to track by air on ground-based radar systems.'

Jane's Defence Weekly reports that the next stage of the development will utilise small turbo-jet drives, as used on unmanned aerial vehicles, allowing jumpers to be carried longer distances without jumping from such extreme heights. "

The Hungarians and other Central Europeans have their cabbage soup. The French have their potage St. Germain. The Greeks have their white bean soup, the Bulgarians have just a pot, but the Mexicans have menudo! Menudo, a wonderfully aromatic soup made of tripe, hominy and chili, is stewed for hours with garlic and other spices. It's broth is rich, red, peppery, and glistens with fat. It stimulates the senses, arms the insides, and clears the head. Menudo is served steaming and fiery, eaten in the wee early morning and proclaimed to be an antidote for hangovers. The hot broth with its medicinal condiments, particularly the chili, replenishes vitamins A and C, soothes the stomach, and stimulates the gastric juices to overcome any loss of appetite. Doctor tested and recommended...a la verga Jetrhro!

I'm a private Dick, it's my job, it's what I do.

A serious problem for Hollywood since the 1960s has been its attractiveness for desperate runaways. Every year, hundreds of runaway adolescents flee broken homes across North America and flock to Hollywood hoping to become movie stars, as portrayed by the lyrics of the 1960s Burt Bacharach song "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" whose lyrics include the words: "All the stars / That never were / Are parking cars / And pumping gas." Such individuals soon discover that they have extremely slim chances of competing against professionally trained actors. Many of them end up sinking into homelessness, which is a problem in Hollywood for adults as well as youth.

Some return home, while others linger in Hollywood and join the prostitutes and panhandlers lining its boulevards; others go to Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles; and yet others end up in the seamy underside of the entertainment business–the large pornography industry in the San Fernando Valley. This grim side of Hollywood was portrayed in Jackson Browne's 1980 song, "Boulevard", whose lyrics include reference to a notorious hustler hangout of the 1970s, with the words: "Down at the Golden Cup / They set the young ones up / Under the neon lights / Selling day for night." This phenomenon is also portrayed in the books of Charles Bukowski and pop artist Katy Rose additionally references it in the song "Overdrive" with the words: "They all come here to find a scene / But end up girls on methedrine / Naked on a TV screen."

Excellent response Barf, maybe a bit self revealing, in that the Israeli's, Russians, and most other civilized countries in the world were looking to discuss your Uncle Joe's philosophy and career with him. His associate Adolf Eichmann was interviewed at length and rewarded handsomely but your Uncle Joe was somewhat a recluse it seems.
Last I or anyone else heard about him was from the German, Italian, Nazi sanctuary and hideout on the Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay border.
It's a shame he left this world without getting his due rewards for the work he put in during the mid 40's for the Fuhrer and "science".
His fascination and work with twins, dwarfs and Gypsy's, and also his experiments with the human body and extreme temperatures, and the experimentations done with the victims, err I mean subjects, and the degree to which a human body can withstand great altitude and depth without the benefit of oxygen or a pressure safe environment, the eyeballs popping out of their sockets and the bleeding from all body orifices. The experiments he did trying to change the color of children’s eyes by injecting the eyeballs with chemicals, these were a credit to German Science of that era.
Your Uncle "Dr. Josef Mengele aka The Angel of Death, is definitely someone I would suspect you would quote from Barf and I suspect in your case the” fruit didn’t fall far from the tree”, as the old saying goes.
Thanks for honoring the quote and it’s source, your Uncle Joe Mengele it clears up some confusion about your philosophy also.

5-foot victim gets goods on gang member

CANOGA PARK - Steve Ulisses Cabrera racked up a long r sum in his short criminal career, but a fight with a 5-foot-tall woman who wasn't about to back down may have brought it all to an end.

The documented Canoga Park Alabama gang member already racked up convictions for vandalism, possession of a controlled substance and trespassing on a criminal curriculum vitae dating back to 1999.

"She offers him a few dollars, but him being greedy, he wants the whole thing," said Officer Ed Moreno of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley gang detective unit.

"She's able to put up a good fight back. He takes off with her money and her ID. But during the struggle, he drops his ID."

People believe in witches here where I live Wally. In the trailer parks that we visited we passed by a small concrete structure and a wino mentioned in passing that it was used by the local witches for their ceremonies. We, me and Homer looked closer and saw a cross, some candles and some plants. Many doors have icons above them to protect the people from evil spirits. You can hire a witch to help you out with various problems but I rather spend my money on Goobers and a Cactus Cooler. Witches are the people who wear all black or all white with lots of silver jewelry and tons of bracelets on each arm (helps concentrate the energies, don't you know Wally).

The more I read about Carona, the more disgusted I become. His paid leave-of-absense of over $30,000.00 for two months - an average family of 4 has to live on that for a whole year! Our tax dollars need to be used more constructively than that. All of his assets need to be frozen, and he should be in jail right now. Let him see what its like to have live under the conditions he has created, and let him have to buy the crap at the "commisary" that his wife is in charge of.

Anonymous said...

Finally, the sheriff has been indicted. I was incredulous that Orange County voters would elect Sheriff Carona into office again. How is it that the 3 top executives on the Sheriff's Department are thieves. How is it that the County Treasuer is still working while under investigation? Orange County voters need to wake up and smell the graft.

Anonymous said...

For years OC Sheriff deputies have been given free license to use illegal and unnecessary brutality against people they arrest. The worse is the beatings and sadistic overreaching at the Inmate Reception Center in the county jail where deputies beat and even kill people who have been arrested. There are scores of brutality cases filed against the OCSD while Carona was the sheriff, but obviously, he was to busy with collecting money and doing favors for policital friends to collect more money, rather than doing the job of stopping the beating and killing of people who end up arrested. Corruption starts when power blinds reason.

Anonymous said...

I agree that Carona and his co-conspirators are innocent until proven guilty. However, I eagerly wait for the day that they stand before a judge and learn their fate. Then maybe we can get some leadership and integrity back in this department and begin serving and protecting again. Carona needs to resign and let someone restore some integrity to this department. The many good officers still there and the citizens of this community deserve no less.

Word comes down from the Mexican Mafia that the owners of this taqueria aren't paying taxes for protection. So the local Sureno gang starts harrasing the owners of the taqueria and their family. Felicitations and a doffing of the cap to all my brothers, including Wally. Great pleasure to speak and smile to you. I get to point quickly - I find this piece in Seoul newspaper, Interesting psychology.

South Korean gangsters get more satisfaction from their line of work than the Korean police, a report says.

The survey was conducted among 109 jailed mobsters by the Korean Institute of Criminal Justice, where 79.3 per cent of gangsters said they were somewhat or very satisfied with their life in organised crime.

About 65 per cent of police said they enjoyed their profession, a separate survey says.

South Korean gangsters make on average about $ US 4,255 a month, which is typically higher than the pay for police.

The criminal justice survey says crime syndicates in South Korea get most of their money through traditional methods such as extortion, prostitution, gambling and now black market Nigerian beef jerky via Sophia, Bulgaria.

Hey Barf are you seriously copping a plea to Wally about something?
What are you whining about Barf?
You practice your sick underhanded crap over here at Wallys with your sniping, cowardly, reactionary posts for a couple of years now and when you get an ass kicking and can't hang with the big dogs you go skulking off and start your own sick blog (plagarizing Wally and In The Hat), obsessing on the wallistas here ad naseum.
Then when some of the homies get tired of your petty crap and give you a taste of your own sick medicine at your Barf In The Hat blog, you can't take it and cry like a little bitch about how unfairly your being treated.

And the topper is you initially talking shit about Wallys need to delete knuckle headed comments (made mostly by you!), and you talking smack about how your running a more democratic blog with no oversight or censoring of comments like Wally does at In The Hat, Sheeeit! Thats funny now isn't it?
Hey Barf I guess what goes around comes around huh? After being called out on the carpet by some of the Wallista's, who gave you a taste of your own medicine, with the anonymous posts, and you being ridiculed with humor and imagination, you freaked out, couldn't take the heat, threw in the towel and started deleting posts like mad like the little nervous bitch you are.

So my question to you Barf/Gava Joe is, why in the hell are you here copping a plea to Wally? What are you doing over here on your knees in front of Wally and the Wallista's llorona?
You get no sympathy here Barf, in the dictionary sympathy can be found between the words shit and syphilis.
You want someone to take up a collection for you?
You got your rip off of Wally's blog over there at Barf In The Hat, with your donquixotephobia, Santiago/St Vitus Dance Syndrome in all it's glory. So pucker up or man up.
Maybe you should go whine to your Uncle Joe Mengele or the other nazi sympathizers.

Seems to me that the more draconian sentencing for crack coke violations are undemocratic.

Panel may cut thousands of prison terms
The early release of 19,500 inmates could result as officials try to address perceived unfairness in sentencing under federal cocaine laws.

By Richard B. Schmitt, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
November 12, 2007

WASHINGTON -- Under pressure from federal judges, inmate advocacy groups and civil rights organizations, federal authorities are considering a sweeping cut in prison sentences that could bring early release for thousands of federal inmates.

The proposal being weighed by the U.S. Sentencing Commission would shave an average of at least two years off the sentences of 19,500 federal prisoners, about 1 in 10 in the 200,000-inmate system. More than 2,500 of them, mainly those who have already served lengthy sentences, would be eligible for release within a year if the rule is adopted...aimed at addressing what is seen as an unfair disparity in federal cocaine laws dating to the mid-1980s that have imposed much harsher punishment on crack cocaine users and dealers than in powder cocaine cases. About 80% of those sentenced on federal crack charges every year are African American.

The Justice Department is warning of dire consequences if the proposal goes through, including the possibility that returning thousands of serious drug offenders to the streets would compound a recent increase in violent crime across the country. (LATimes.com)

speilberg, you're always using words like "Sureno". Your obsession with gangs sort of teeters right on the border between student and wannabe, doesn't it?

ALWAYS? This is the first time I posted. But would you rather I call them scraps???

Good point except for the fact that this is a Federally Mandated ruling not a State Prison Issue, they'll have to deal with prison overcrowding soon or the Federal Govt will do it for them.

Man Stabbed, Beaten To Death In Fullerton
Authorities Searching For 5 To 7 Suspects
(CBS) FULLERTON, Calif. Authorities Monday sought whoever fatally stabbed and beat a man in the parking lot of a Fullerton drug store.

Victor Hernandez, 24, was attacked late Saturday night outside a Walgreens at 1826 W. Orangethorpe Ave., Fullerton police Sgt. Linda King said.

Friends brought him to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Witnesses told police that Hernandez was standing in the parking lot when a caramel-colored Dodge Durango SUV drove up, and five to seven men, 18 to 29 years old, got out and approached him, King said.

The men, who had shaved heads, were described as "gang types," King said.

"The group attacked Hernandez," King said. "During the brief assault, the victim was beaten and stabbed. The suspects then ran to their vehicle and fled the scene."

Anyone with more information about the crime was urged to call police

CAR CHASES: Archive Of Wild Police Pursuits

Police began chasing a black Toyota 4-Runner around 2:20 p.m. in the San Gabriel Valley and the suspect, with at least two other people in the vehicle, drove onto the San Bernardino (10) Freeway before exiting in the East Los Angeles area, according to Officer April Harding of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect sped along surface streets but struck another sport utility vehicle near Cornwell and Sheridan streets in Boyle Heights, she said.

The suspects were initially wanted for making threats, he said.

At least one of the suspects is reportedly a gang member.

Rampart: Man killed on Berendo
Wilshire Center: Walter Vega, 30, a Latino man, was shot at 749 S. Berendo St. in Wilshire Center just west of Vermont Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, and died later at County-USC Hospital. Vega was only a week or so out of prison. He was standing on the sidewalk in an area where people congregate to drink nearly every day. His attackers were two Latino men or youths, one in a dark shirt, the other in a light one. They walked up, shot him, ran to a waiting blue Toyota van, and sped away.

14-year-old stabbed in Wilshire Division
Mid-City: Lawrence Rhodes, a 14-year-old black youngster, was stabbed to death near the intersection of Orange and Pico Boulevard in L.A.'s Mid-City area just after midnight on Sunday, Nov. 11. Two other young men, one a juvenile, were also stabbed. The elder was treated at a hospital for his injuries, then released; the younger underwent surgery. Both the wounded victims are expected to survive.

Rhodes had just arrived at what Wilshire Homicide supervisor Chris Holroyd described as a "hip-hop party" in a commercial building on Pico. People came up to him on the sidewalk, and a fistfight broke out. It was a large brawl, involving at least 10 people, she said. Someone had a knife, and stabbed Rhodes and the two other victims in the chaotic scene. Arriving police officers tried to give aid to Lawrence while waiting for paramedics. The crowd around them melted away, leaving no one to tell police what had happened, or to bear witness to who had killed Lawrence.

Holroyd put out a plea to anyone who attended this event. Please call police and help them solve the case, she said. Wilshire detectives are at (213) 473-0446.

A reward for information in the case is pending.

14-year-old dies in Rampart
Westlake: Rene Vargas, a 14-year-old Latino youngster, was killed in LAPD's Rampart Division last night at about 8:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 7th Street.

He was walking on the sidewalk. A black SUV pulled up, coming the other way, and a Latino man or youth got out and shot in direction of Rene, said LAPD Det. Fred Faustino. He walked a few steps and then collapsed. He died at a County-USC hospital shortly after. He was not a documented gang member. He was attending Belmont High School. Rampart detectives are at (213) 207-2060. Below, his teenage friends display a collection box near his shrine--candles, pictures of the Virgen, and a Mickey beer.

Brian Ramos, 20
Brian Ramos, 20, a Latino young man, was shot multiple times at 926 S. Mariposa St. in Koreatown at about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30. He died at a hospital at 12:15 a.m.

Police said he was parking his car when a Latino man in his early 20s, described as 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, with very short black hair, came up and said, "Where are you from?" He then started shooting before Ramos could reply. Ramos was not documented as a gang member, police said. A reward for information in the case is pending. LAPD Wilshire Dets. John Shafia and Mark Holguin are at (213) 473-0446. See dispatch: "Buen hijo"

“This [crime] run that we’re on right now feels a whole lot more threatening than ever before,” he says. Blocks north of Wilshire are heavily tagged by 18th Street gangsters. “I’ve seen these guys tag on shrubs,” Mark says. “It’s unbelievable. On October 3, there were three violent robberies on the same day... probably a block away from each other. Were the cops just taking reports and driving away? Abandoning the neighborhood?”

Mexicans are all over the place now!
Oh well I guess if your ever on a parranda in Saginaw Mich it would be good to know where to get some menudo in the AM for the hangover.
Saginaw Mich?

But in NE LA after hanging out at the "Sombrero" Rest. on York Blvd, on a Saturday night with the homies, and drinking some of Manuels special "margarita's", it's nice to know that on Sunday I can get menudo at a dozen local joints, usually at "El Arco IRis" Rest. close to home, have a couple XX Equis and watch a Raider or Lakers game.
To the good life in lA

Surenos have to be the most ignorant group of people.I say this because of the large amount of knuckle heads that are convicted daily. Its like the EME purposely wants all these young southsiders to get locked up. These young adults are getting 20,30,40,50 years like if its a walk in the park for them. When are all these surenos going to learn to value there freedom and there lives. What good is it to have so much love for your varrio, been so down for your hood if your never going to see it sitting in a cell somewhere in Florence, Colorado. I have so much anger towards all these Emeros misguiding our young today. We as strong minded hispanics, latinos, chicanos, Mexicans need to stand up for our young weak minded surenos for they know no better. We need to introduce them to positive roll models and steer them away from the Rudy "Cheyenne" Cadena", Joe Morgans, Robert "Robot" Salas,Benjamin "Topo" Peters, Reuben "Night Owl" Castro, Frank "Chino" Macias Madriaga, and the Alex "PEE Wee" Aguirre's that have corrupted so many of our young adults. what kind of future will our race have if let our young think its ok to go to prison for life so that a group of men that are already doing life in prison can get a some kind of thrill knowing that they call the shots....

It looks like once F13 got too powerful, the feds concentrated their neverending resources on them.

It doesn't pay to get too powerful.
Ask any of the Italian bosses in prison.

That is one sentence which sums it up quite nicely. It's to bad that so many of the very young mexican gang members do not realize what is in their future. It seems as though the older gang members have brain-washed the young idiots to beleive otherwise. The young mexican gang members need to visit the prisons of California and see what a future of gang has in store for them.
