VALLEY STABBING SIGNALS WAR
You don't usually hear much going on in the SF Valley. But something's about to kick off. Last week a carload of alleged CPA homies rolled up on four alleged Haskell Streeters in broad daylight in the 20000 block of Sherman Way. Fists flew, a knife came out and one Haskell paid the ultimate price for living the life. The usually wrong media attributed the incident to rival tagging crews. Haskell apparently is moving West, and CPA is claiming more streets to the East. Result? You figure it out. Somebody ought to clamp a lid on this before it gets crazy.

On a more serious note, y menos los jotos, I just want to finish my litany of immigration stories that have changed my way of thinking in regards to "our" immigrant generalization's and stereotypes.
Must have been ten years ago, I had a crew working on the construction of a home for my sisters "brother-in-law. The home was being built on a hill overlooking the "Santa Margarita" river in the "Fallbrook/DeLuz" area of San Diego County Ca. beautiful area and it was also a major route for the Coyote's and there human "Pollo's.
We were heading to the jobsite early on a foggy, misty morning, I was driving down into the wooded river valley from Fallbrook when I came around a curve in the road and in front of us (almost like a comic keystone cop), was a Border Patrol Officer who was hiding behind a big Oak Tree and "peeking" around the side of the tree looking down the road at something.
We all did a double take it was so weird, but as we drove further on about a couple hundred yards we see a real surreal sight. Two old (70's) Mexicanos, a husband and his wife, were running like the old Viejo’s they were up the road right towards the Migra cop hiding behind the tree.
What was strange was that they were dressed like "campesinos" you would see in a small hillbilly Mexican village, white flour sack clothes, huaraches, sombrero, serape's. The old man and woman were running slowly and holding hands right at the Migra behind the tree.
It was a sad scenario and I felt like turning the pickup around and yelling a warning to them, but we just continued on with nobody in the truck saying a word, we were all thinking the same thing!

Continuing on with the story that day in Fallbrook.
We drove on up the hill to the jobsite and went to work sheathing in the roof with plywood and getting it ready for roofing, it started getting hot and by 2 pm it must have been near a 100 degrees.
We were “chistiando” and working on the roof when at the back of the lot along an old “Mojado” trail (took them around the immigration stop on I-15 ) we spot three Mexicano’s walking along the trail, two of them were youngsters in there 20’s walking at a good clip, plastic milk bottles for water in their hands. The third guy was a heavier “middle aged” vato who was walking with a noticeable limp and seemed to be in some pain.
We yelled out our saludo’s to them wishing them luck, and the older guy just shakes his head and hands, looking up at us like “I don’t know if I can make it?” And they continue on the journey.
We worked to about 5;00 and then took off for home on the back road to “Temecula” along “Sandia Creek Rd”. About 8 10 miles up the road we drive around a curve and out in the middle of the road is the older mojadito and flagging us down. As I pull up to him he’s shaking his head and he’s all sweaty and tired looking, he say’s to me “por favor senor ( and he’s 15 20 years older than me!) puedes danos un rit-e? Seguro que si mano, va a montar atras, en la cama de la troka I answer. Then I hear the other two vato’s who are hiding in the bushes start arguing with him that it’s dangerous to be in the back of the truck, llore, llore, llore,. The old vato yells back at them “I don’t give a fuck I can’t walk anymore, I’m dying for lack of water, and I feel like laying down and dying!
So they finally come out of the bushes, get in the back of the truck we gave them what water we had left, the rest was just ice cubes but they ate those up like their dying of thirst, which they probably were. We drove them close to “Temecula” where we left them off at a gas station. The old vato shook our hands and thanked us and blessed us and told us we saved their lives.
We felt good that we could help these guys in a time of need; we didn’t even consider that we were helping “criminals” or “illegal immigrants” or any of that mierda.
Next day on the job I told the guy we were building the house for what had happened and unbelievably he chastised us as being naïve and that we could have been arrested as “Coyotes” put in jail and had the truck impounded!
Of course he was a right wing Republican type and even if he was right I asked him “well what the hell would you have done? Leave this poor old guy to die of thirst and exhaustion? I felt, and still do that I did the right thing, I would do the same thing over!
I ask you camarada’s , what would you do? What kind of human being would leave someone in trouble, due to expediency or fear, to protect a truck or maybe avoid some legal hassle?
We as a Country need to examine our “Judeo / Christian” concepts of humanity.

Man on trial a mafia `ghost'?
Beserra awaits verdict on intimidation charge

NORWALK - Is he a "ghost," or merely an innocent accountant?
If he is a ghost, then clean-cut Henry Beserra, a former UCLA student with mild courtroom manners, augments his salary performing undercover dirty deeds for the Mexican Mafia, according to prosecutors.
If he is what defense attorney Nolan King says he is, then the 30-year-old Murrieta resident is an innocent victim of overly aggressive prosecutors. His only crime was to inadvertently record on his cell phone four minutes of testimony during an attempted murder trial in Whittier Court, King asserts.
The recorded testimony came from an alleged longtime Mexican Mafia member as he spoke in the trial of a rival gang member accused of shooting him.
Prosecutors say Beserra recorded the testimony on orders from the Mexican Mafia.
The purpose, they say, was to prove to jailed Mexican Mafia gangsters that the witness was a "rat" who should be killed for testifying in court.
At his nearly weeklong trial this past week in Norwalk Court on charges of witness intimidation, Beserra sat straight in his chair, his hands folded on the table in front of him.
Every day he wore long-sleeved, buttoned-down shirts, his hair cut military-style short, his skin almost babyishly smooth, his mannerisms polished and gentlemanly.
Contrast this with the appearance of the alleged Mexican Mafia member Beserra is charged with intimidating - the tattoos covering his arms and neck, his slouched posture on the witness stand, his hard gaze.
"Ghosts are incognito," the witness - who likely would be killed if his name appeared in print, according to prosecutors - told the court.
"They fit in. They're not recognized as gang members. But they're really into doing things that need to be done for the gang," the man said.
"Ghosts can be car dealers, teachers, students, accountants, barbers," he added.
Their main job is to perform deeds for the gang - and to keep its members connected to "the real world," the alleged gang member testified.
He said his story began on Dec. 28, 2004, when he was shot in the head by a rival gang member, retaliation for demanding tribute from a local drug dealer, the man testified.
Although he was shot in the head, he survived.
Then he did something strictly impermissible for the Mexican Mafia - he turned to police for help.
Worse, he agreed to testify in court against the shooter, the man said.
That is when Beserra came in to the picture, according to prosecutors.
The voice Beserra recorded Sept. 2, 2005, in Whittier Court is barely audible, but the witness is heard saying and spelling his name, according to court testimony.
But that is not all prosecutors have as evidence against Beserra.
After confiscating the cell phone in court, police searched Beserra's home, where they found letters written to inmates that prosecutors say prove Beserra's gang ties.
One letter allegedly written by Beserra reads: "That fool from Cold Street is fired. If I have any problems with him, I'll handle him. I got things set up on the street, so everything looks good."
King did not call any witnesses in Beserra's defense. Instead, he argued that the prosecution did not make a strong enough case.
Both sides ended their arguments Friday. A verdict is expected this week in Norwalk Court.
"The bottom line is that the people are asking you to convict Mr. Beserra on these two felony counts \ with no evidence," King told jurors.

Why not read Genesis 1 literally?
Is Genesis 1 "valid natural history"? What is meant by "the scientific
method of arriving at truths"? Does the Bible describe a "natural world
where the sun comes up and then goes down (Ps. 19)"?
First, it would appear that whether Genesis 1 is valid natural history
depends on what one means by natural history. If by natural history one
means a history of what happened in the world outside of the direct
intervention of humans (one meaning of the natural world), then it is
arguable that Genesis 1 is in fact valid natural history (although there are
dissenting opinions).
However, if by natural history one means history without any intelligent
intervention including that of God (a definition popular in some circles),
then Genesis appears to be the antithesis of natural history. Certainly if
science excludes the supernatural by definition (as one popular definition
of science would have it), Genesis 1 is the antithesis of science. The most
important point of Genesis 1 is that God created the universe, and that any
account that leaves God out is incomplete if not distorted.
That is why it is better to view Genesis 1 as history than as science,
unless science is carefully defined (which proves difficult, as noted below)
and is compatible with Divine intervention.
Second, there is considerable controversy among students of the philosophy
of science over precisely what the scientific method is. Some early
formulations have had to be abandoned when compared with the way science is
actually carried out.
For example, the earliest definition, that of Frances Bacon, seemed adequate
for the earlier history of science. Science, using inductive reasoning,
examined nature and derived mathematical relationships which were more or
less obvious. Hypotheses sprang from the data without the need to worry
about observer bias leading us astray as long as we were honest. With time
and experience, hypotheses became theories and theories became laws. This
worked pretty well for Charles' Law and Boyle's law, and for about 300 years
worked mathematically perfectly, as far as could be determined, for the Law
of Gravity. It looked like science could discover absolute truth in a
rather straightforward manner. (This idea lives on in the assertion that
"Evolution is a fact.")
Then Newtonian mechanics was discovered not to be absolute truth. While
this discovery had few practical results (we sent men to the moon based on
Newtonian physics because the difference between it and relativistic physics
was so small), it sent shock waves through the discipline of the philosophy
of science. Even long-established, successful theories (gaining the
appellation of "law") could not be guaranteed to be absolute truth. Could
we really know anything?
One reaction was that of the logical positivists, who believed that if
theories were not absolute truth, then we could only make (absolutely) true
statements about sense data ("At 6:30 PM yesterday a bright light
disappeared from the sky"). But even sense data is subject to error, the
descriptions of sense data are theory-laden, and the elimination of
constructs such as atoms, or even the sun, from scientific discourse, seems
too high a price to pay for absolute certainty. Most scientists never
followed the logical positivist program. It survives in the claim that God
does not exist because (at least by most of us) He has not been directly
observed. It also lives on in the assertion that since nobody has seen
evolution in action, claims that evolution is true are outside the realm of
science.
Karl Popper first showed another way to deal with this uncertainty in
science. He compared the attitudes of most followers of Marx and Freud
(which he [correctly] considered to be pseudoscience) with Einstein. The
former were skilled at explaining away any evidence contrary to their
theories, whereas Einstein seemed to indicate that if certain observations
did not match his theories, he was willing to abandon his theories. (The
truth was not quite that simple, but it was a pretty good approximation.)
Thus the early Popper hypothesized that the real dividing line between
science and non-science (or pseudoscience) was the ability to admit
mistakes. We may not necessarily know for sure what truth is, but we could
at least recognize error with certainty. Popper's formulation thus
preserved a truncated version of the idea that we could reliably recognize
absolute truth. This idea also lives on in the accusations that
creationism, or intelligent design, or mechanistic evolution is not science
because the referenced concept is "not falsifiable".

it is the philosophical stance against God, but, I might add it is even more
than that!
Indeed, and it is the same in theology. There is a subcurrent in mankind
that is seeking to remove God from all things, even faith. That subcurrent
is evident in all churches, although it should not be.
Yet, among us we must acknowledge that we cannot study "true" origins
because they are quite removed from our field of observation. Even
deductions made on current data can only extend to what "appears" to be a
beginning....but, as all must admit, regardless, is that the scriptural
record tells us that "that time" (is) was a separate reality.
As an example, God created light. The immediate conclusion from that is
that he created mass. For light is but energy, and physically we accept the
formulation that it is also "mass" or that is with the capacity to become
mass. Therefore, God was before mass, and before light. This construct is
beyond our capacity to consider.
Another aspect is that there are clearly separate realities. We study and
live in one reality. It is fallen. We are separated from a vast cosmos
that cannot be studied by our perceptions and our instruments (I speak of
more than the universe we observe). And, the laws that we arrive at here
may not be applicable were other realities to be considered in our
equations. There are clearly laws that are beyond us. And, ultimately, we
must also consider that we cannot comprehend creation itself. For, it is an
aspect that belongs to, is imparted from, and is continued by God.
Even the creative concepts and ideas that man has on this earth, consistent
with the Biblical revelations of our God, must be acknowledged as God given,
and not our own.
That does not mean that the pursuit of knowledge is bad or that the study of
science is wrong. Quite the contrary, the curiousity and drive to explore is
an aspect of creativity, and is God given, a part of our "made in the image
of God." Yet, I would point out, that the philosophical denial of God
begins with the criticism of the seven day creation. The seal of God is
inseperable from true faith in God. One cannot claim the one, without the
other. A denial of one, is a denial of the other.
But, as I stated, the seven day creation is a part of another reality. That
theologians argue the case based upon "this" world, and definitions arrived
at through rational deductions from our observations in this reality is
indicative of a subcurrent of agnosticism if not atheism, and it ends up
creating a conflict with science. As you point out, God and his creation
cannot be quantified. But, the very concept itself comes from a knowledge
base confined to this reality. It is not that they cannot be "quantified"
It is quite simply that they cannot be observed.
Nevertheless, there is glory in studying "this" world, for it gives us a
glimpse of the wonder and beauty of God. But, such study must always be
done with the knowledge that we are in a closed envelope, and it was sealed
the moment Adam and Eve were ejected from the Garden of Eden.
Thus, the seven day creation is an aspect that is not in conflict with
current scientific findings, and vice versa. The point is that scientists
try to apply it in this manner. There are laws of destruction and chaos
that are attendant with sin the destroy perspective, as well as cut man off
from inspiration. These same laws affect the physical cosmos we inhabit.
At the moment of the fall, the decay that began was drastic. It
reverberated and conflicted with the natural creative order that God had
made in the beginning. We generally assume that destruction is a part of
creation. But, the Biblical record is that it is the opposite. So, what is
the conclusion? It is that something drastic happened, as the scriptures
allude to. Perhaps the rocks "aged" billions of years. Perhaps the
structure of molecules and atoms themselves went through a change. But, we
have no business drawing conclusions about the Biblical record, because it
simply cannot be studied! It transcends our knowledge base.
The laws we discover and use in this world may be applicable in this world,
and may work for us in this reality. But, that does not mean that they
extend to be universal absolutes that somehow transcend the Biblical
account. It is actually the reverse. That does not mean I stop going to
the doctor :) At the same time, it means I had best listen to Jesus and
continue in prayer :)

The following are from pages 18 & 19 from Carl Martin's 1999 book HEAVEN Think On These Things, Total Grace Publications.
"The city lieth four square, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs" (Revelation 21:16). KJV
A furlong is one-eight of a mile. If the city's perimeter is 12,000 furlongs, then it is 1,500 miles around. Since its length is as large as its breadth, then the city has a perfectly square perimeter 375 miles long on each side: one city, larger than the state of Oregon! We're also told in the same verse: "the length and the breadth and the height of it are equal." This seems to indicate that the Holy City is shaped much like a giant, golden cube, its height being equal to its length and breadth. Thus the top of the city would sit 375 miles above the base.
"And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits". (Revelation 21:16). KJV
A cubit is 18 inches. The measurement expressed here is 216 feet. Some believe this is describing the height of the wall, which is a possibility. However, it seems much more likely that the wall is 216 feet thick. For one thing, if the city itself is an incredible 375 miles high, a wall rising 216 feet would seem far out of proportion-almost tiny. The prophet John, after seeing the enormous city in all of its grandeur, described the wall as "great and high" (Revelation 21:12) KJV: an unlikely phrase for such a relatively short wall. Another clue that the wall is probably higher than 216 feet can be found in the city's foundations.
"And the wall of the city had twelve foundations" (Revelation 21:14) KJV
Notice it said, "the wall of the city had twelve," not "the city had twelve foundations." Another text concurs: "And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones" (Revelation 21:19). KJV
Reading on, we find that each of the twelve foundations is made of a different precious stone. One thought on this is that these twelve foundations lie, one on top of the other, at the base of the city. Again, this is a possibility and should not be ruled out. But the wording seems to indicate that the foundations are separate, and connected to the walls themselves, not just stacked on each other. In other words, each foundation is a separate floor in this giant city, each floor equidistant from the others (more than 30 miles apart!). The language here implies that the New Jerusalem is one giant twelve-story structure that God has built for His children. In this case, the walls would by definition need to rise to the very top of the city.

Reporter Is Assaulted at School

A Los Angeles radio reporter was assaulted outside a charter school Thursday morning by a man driving a sedan who first tried to run him down and then stole his audiotape, police said.
The incident occurred after the reporter, Sandy Wells of KABC-AM (790) radio, had just finished interviewing parents, students and administrators of the Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School in El Sereno. The reporter's radio station has reported that the school teaches separatist ethics and has no white, Asian or black students.

Police said Wells had just finished his interviews and was calling his radio station when he saw a car coming toward him.
Wells ran for his car, authorities said, but the car followed him. The driver got out of the silver sedan and assaulted Wells, police said, and tried to take his equipment but got only the tape.
"There were a number of witnesses to this assault," Det. Charles Markel of the Hollenbeck Division said. "We'd like anyone who saw what happened to call us."
The Los Angeles Unified School District said it was looking into the matter. KABC talk show host Doug McIntyre, who has been discussing the school on the air, has quoted the principal and founder, Marcos Aguilar, as making "racist " statements.
Wells was unhurt.

beginning to fade, will likely revive later this week when the July issue of Vanity Fair hits the stands. According to an advance copy, the magazine's contributing editor Seth Mnookin alleges -- in a massive article titled "DaVinci Clone?" -- two new instances of possible plagiarism in Brown's past. Two textual analysis experts also tell him they believe Brown borrowed the plot for his book from Lewis Perdue's "Daughter of God."
The two libel experts say they are convinced Brown borrowed heavily from the Perdue book, despite Brown's recent victory in court. John Olsson, the director of Britain's Forensic Linguistics Institute, said, "This is the most blatant example of in-your-face plagiarism I've ever seen. It just goes on and on. There are literally hundreds of parallels."
Brown did not respond to requests for comment from Vanity Fair.
Mnookin also cites an incident in which Brown copied for "The DaVinci Code" an exact passage from the paper "Leonardo's Lost Robot," written by robotics expert Mark Rosheim. Brown's publisher, Doubleday, said it was covered under fair-use. Rosheim says, "Every now and then I'll be giving a talk and someone will come in with The Da Vinci Code and ask me to sign a copy. Either that or they'll accuse me of copying him."
Finally, Mnookin offers evidence that he says may link Brown's wife, Blythe, to a spate of "mysterious" e-mails that Perdue has received, coming from one "Ahamedd Saaddodeen."
The lengthy article mainly follows the trail of Perdue's legal case. Mnookin reveals that Perdue first contacted him in 2003. Mnookin wrote a brief item about the dispute for Newsweek in June, 2003.
The new Vanity Fair article concludes with Perdue's words: "Sometimes it's hard not to feel as if I'm going crazy."

Defense Slams 'Manufactured' Testimony in Trial of Alleged Aryan Brotherhood Leaders

SANTA ANA, California — A parade of former prison gang members who testified in the government's showcase trial against the Aryan Brotherhood were paid by the prosecutors, were promised sentence reductions and in some cases were released, a federal agent testified Tuesday as the defense opened its case.
Michael Halualani, the case agent from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said one inmate received $150,000 when he was released and placed into a witness-protection program, and others who were being held at the high-security Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, were given amounts ranging from $50 to a few hundred dollars at a time, and in some cases he paid for eyeglasses or shoes upon request.
The agent was subpoenaed by the defense as a hostile witness after the government presented weeks of testimony in one of the largest capital murder cases in U.S. history.
Outside court, Dean Steward, attorney for defendant Barry "The Baron" Mills, who is alleged to be the ringleader, said the focus of the defense case is to prove that "the testimony was manufactured, bought and paid for."
The trial of Mills, 57, and co-defendants' T.D. "The Hulk" Bingham, Edgar "The Snail" Hevle and Christopher Overton Gibson stemmed from a six-year investigation that culminated with arrests of 40 alleged Aryan Brotherhood members in 2002. Nineteen struck plea bargains and one died. Other trials are pending.
The government alleges the defendants currently on trial ordered or committed many of the 32 murders and attempted murders contained in the indictment.
Mills is serving two life terms for the 1979 killing of a fellow inmate. In the current trial, he faces a possible death sentence for allegedly orchestrating the 1997 killings of two black inmates in Pennsylvania.
On the witness stand, Halualani was asked why he paid money to men such as Clifford Smith, who helped form the Aryan Brotherhood.
"I provided funds to Mr. Smith. I paid for time and information, not for convictions," Halualani said.
Answering questions from attorney Mark Fleming, the agent said the payments were similar to "the way you charge for billable hours. Although they are in prison, it's their time."
Fleming pointed out that Smith was already serving a term of 65 years to life.
"And you wanted to compensate him for the time he spent with you?" asked Fleming.
"Yes," said the agent, who acknowledged paying Smith $1,400 over the period he worked with him.
Halualani said that when inmates agreed to turn informant, they usually submitted a list of demands starting with requests for money and for the filing of a motion that would seek a reduction in their prison sentences.
"Number two was, where are you going to house us so we don't get killed," the agent said. "And third was, are you going to prosecute us?"
He said all wanted immunity from prosecution, but he did not say how many were granted that as an incentive to testify.
Many were placed in protective custody and some who were released went into the witness-protection program under new identities.
Fleming elicited the agent's acknowledgment that before informants testified, both at the trial and grand jury, they were given copies of documents to review. In one case, he said, an informant was presented with what is known as "a party list."
"It was my understanding that was a list of individuals to be murdered," he said.
"And is it possible you showed him the party list before he entered the grand jury room?" asked Fleming.
"Yes," said the agent. "We showed it to him to find out what he thought it was."
The attorney then asked, "Do you have any concern that his testimony might be influenced by the fact that you showed him that party list?"
"No, not at all," said the witness.
Halualani acknowledged there is a danger that informants can provide false information to get a paycheck.
"There's always a danger," he said. "But the testimony is corroborated. We do pay for time and we do pay for information but we also do some work."
During a break in the proceedings, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter told attorneys that the case was moving more rapidly than expected and would probably go to the jury in July or August.

NORWALK - Jurors convicted a 30-year-old accountant Monday of attempting to intimidate a witness at the order of gang members.
Henry Beserra, who wears button-down shirts, is hardly the picture of a gang member, but the recording he made, witnesses in the trial concluded, was to be used to prove to incarcerated Mexican Mafia leaders that the witness had become a "rat" and should be killed.
Jurors took just four hours to return a guilty verdict against Beserra, a former UCLA student referred to in court as a "ghost," or an underground go-to guy for a prison gang. He was convicted of attempted witness intimidation with a gang enhancement.
"Ghosts aren't recognized as gang members. But they're really into doing things that need to be done for the gang," a witness and Mexican Mafia member testified last week.
Judge Philip Hickok ordered Beserra to return to Norwalk Court on June 15 for sentencing.
Defense attorney Noland King said Beserra is innocent, and a victim of overly aggressive prosecutors.
"All Mr. Beserra was doing was picking up his cell phone to make a call," said King, arguing that he inadvertently made the four-minute recording by pressing the wrong button on his phone.
On Sept. 2, Beserra sat in Whittier Court, watching a preliminary hearing in a case in which a Mexican Mafia gangster was the victim. The gangster, from Santa Fe Springs, testified that a rival gang member attempted to kill him because he told a local gang to pay taxes to the Mexican mafia on its drug sales.
A supervising bailiff confiscated Beserra's cell phone during the witness' testimony when he saw him holding it in court. He noticed there was a recording on the phone, and gave it to detectives to investigate.
Detectives testified that he was planning to use the recording, in which the witness can be heard saying and spelling his name, as proof that the witness was "ratting out" his gang.
But King argued that Beserra is innocent and was in court to support a family member charged with trying to kill the witness.
"Mr. Beserra is an accountant. His family is here in court supporting him. He was in court supporting his cousin" King said.
During the trial last week, Beserra sat calmly watching the proceedings.
He sat politely throughout the trial, his hands folded in front of him, wearing button-down shirts. He chatted with attorneys and court personnel during breaks. With no visible tattoos, a military-style haircut and a pleasant demeanor, he appeared out of place amid gang investigators and tattooed witnesses on the stand.
But this is not Beserra's first conviction.
In 2002, he was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, according to court records.
He was also held to answer on charges of rape, sodomy and false imprisonment among other crimes in 2002, according to court records.
Monday's conviction could be considered Beserra's third strike, landing him in prison for a maximum of 25 years to life.
Deputy District Attorney Mike Enomoto testified that his voice can be heard on Beserra's recording, as he questioned the witness.
Enomoto said this is the first time he's learned of underground Mexican Mafia members called "ghosts."
"This is the first time I've dealt with a ghost in one of my cases," he said. "They are, by nature, clandestine. You would not by looking at Beserra think he was gang related. If not for an alert bailiff, this recording would have gone undetected."
