SHOULD WE BRING BACK THE CODE DUELLO?
A round of interesting comments from some of the more thoughtful commenters set me off on a train of thought. The question bouncing back and forth addresses the issue of street shootings involving non-players and civilians. I was going to post some thoughts on the LA Times' recent addition of a Homicide Blog to its web page. This is a good idea that's been long overdue. It was something I wanted to do here, but as a one-man-band lacking the resources of the Tribune empire, it was beyond reach. The Homicide Blog, as some readers have pointed out, underscores the vile nature of kids shooting kids based on the question to which there is no correct answer - "Where you from?"

The son of an old friend of mine was shot and killed in front of a movie theater ten years ago after two guys rolled up on him and his girlfriend and asked that infamous question. The kid said, "I don't bang." It was the last thing he ever said. Trust me. I watched this kid grow up. He learned to swim in my pool, I cooked him and his friends burgers and we watched my Monty Python videos. He didn't know one end of a gun from the other and he was walking the straight and narrow.

His girlfriend said that when the two guys pointed the gun, he didn't run. He threw himself on the girl and they back shot him. Not real sporting. It doesn't take much courage to shoot an unarmed non-player in the back. It takes even less to shoot girls in Highland Park or Harbor. Ultimately, it's this type of episode that has finally motivated our politicians and law enforcers to bring out the heavy hammer and start using it. Even Barbara Boxer is calling for a nationwide anti-gang Task Force. And she wants enforcement, not midnight basketball.

My sense is, if you want to play at being a gunslinger, go find another gunslinger to play with. Don't ruin innocent lives and shoot the defenseless. That's not courage. It's slaughter and it brings shame, not respect.

When Jimmy "Character" Palma shot and killed the 5-year-old and 9-month-old Moreno children after he took care of Tito Aguirre and Lido Moreno, the Brothers had no stomach for that. Character got his in SQ as soon as they could get their hands on him. The outrage over killing innocents obviously isn't reserved strictly for the law abiding. Unfortunately, that message isn't being sufficiently enforced.

In the old days, some people invented logical ways of dealing with personal or factional enemies. In Europe, they even published books and manuals on how to do it right -- the Code Duello. They met at dawn with loaded pistols and settled problems face to face at 25 paces. May the best man win.

According to those old manuals, the choice of weapons was up to the challenger. It was guns, knives, swords or whatever. One of the wierdest duels ever took place inside a moving horse-drawn coach. The challenger chose knives and the opponent accepted. The terms were that the two would climb in and stab it out for the length of time it took the coach to circle a small park.

The coach went around once and stopped. Neither of the bloodied combatants had achieved satisfaction, so they went around once more. Second time around, still no satisfaction. So they went around a third time. At the end of the third trip, both parties had bled out and died. Sure it's crazy, but hey, it was their beef and they both had the courage to handle it mano a mano.

You've got to at least respect them for settling it man to man and having the brass balls to do it without dragging innocent people into their problem.

In the not too distant past, cowboys handled their business at high noon on Main Street with Peacemakers. First hit wins the fight. They had terms like "Bushwacker" for those who didn't handle their business correctly and the citizens strung them up not so much for killing, but for not doing it right.

So you have to ask yourself, is it possible that pasty aristocrats in frilly shirts and powdered wigs had more balls than a backshooting gangster who takes out people who have no part in a neighborhood or personal beef? Just something to think about.

Wally good topic and anyone who can should read the latimes.com "Homicide Report" cause it shows the human side of the victim and all the ramifications to the surviving family and friends. This "profiling by gangster shooters" causes some real tragedy.
and many of us like yourself have felt the frustration, sadness, and senslesness of these "gang killings"
You hit the subject of the Jimmy Palma killings of those kids in El Monte a while back and about the tremendous negative publicity this caused the Carnals. Palma didn't last five minutes when he hit the joint due to this scandal.
Also the gang conference that was held when the Carnals decided that drive bys were thumbs down, and how effective that was.

My sixth sense tells me that the Big Homies hear about what is said here at "In The Hat" and I just wonder about the heat they are feeling about these latest "Profile Killings" by street gangsters.
Can't be good for biz!

We are only talking about the murders committed by gang cowards. But do not forget all of the other crimes that gang members are also responsible for. They can ruin the quality of life for entire neighborhoods. Gang members are robbing, stealing, dealing drugs, harassing and intimidating thousands of innocent victims including our grandmothers, mothers and little girls. They are able to ruin schools in many neighborhoods which, denies the education which so many poor kids desperately need. I believe the gangs are one of major reasons a kid in Los Angeles can not get a decent education. Remember Connie Rice even mentioned this fact in her comprehensive report of gangs in Los Angeles. So they do much more than kill innocent victims, they have ruined they lives of many other un-reported and un-noticed victims.

(Monday's Column, Nov. 13, 2006) Ex-cop principal walks a tough beat By Bob Sipchen

Sic ….. “Some people think Vince Carbino, a former cop, is too hard-edged to be a principal. I wonder about that as I watch a young man hurl a projectile at a fellow student at the South Los Angeles high school also known as the Santee Education Complex. The object hits the metal lockers and skitters across the floor. The student lunges, unaware that Carbino has stepped into the hallway. "Hold on there, my man," Carbino barks. The missile this time is a juice bottle cap. The grappling is innocent tomfoolery. “

As the so called gang expert, Wally you should know that the rules have not changed. If the Big Homies were to determine that the youngsters that are accused of committing the harbor and highland park homicides fucked up they will be dealt with. But in my honest opinion I don't see why they would even trip with either of these two cases. I'm not saying that what happened is right or that I condone it in anyway. But neither of these girls were babies they were teenage black girls hanging out with male blacks. In the harbor case the girl was hanging out in front of a LIQUOR STORE with a group of blacks that fit the gangster profile. Pretty much all blacks are dressing like thugs now a days, so why would it surprise anyone that they would be seen as the gangsters that they wanted to portray themselves as?

Wally, my most sincere condolences for your lose.

Wally, how about gang members follow a code of rules when the the U.S. and coalition troops abide by the Geneva Convention? Gang members have televisions and....'internets', and have all seen the photos from Abu Ghraib; Therefore, you shouldn't be surprised if your idea is met with laughter.

Pretty idealistic, Wally. Kind of a turn from your usual realist angle.

Lets get rid of violence completely by instituting a Punt, Pass, and Kick competition on the field of champions whenever pedos and hostilities flair between gangs. As a matter of fact have the LAPD judge these gang envents. Homeboys and homegirls can sit in the bleechers and yell porras for their gladiators.

SV VBS, are you sure the 16 year old Chicana girl shot by gangsters on Verdugo Rd (big time Aves territory), was with male blacks? I did not hear that info.
But unfortunate as any killing is, that would sound like suicide to me in that area.
And also just a question SV VBS, I am not aware of any regla's by the Carnals that forbide mistaken gang shootings that are based on a "profile". I for one would like to see regla's out there so that a gangster better be sure that he is not targeting an innocent civilian or it would be his ass.

And to these gangsters out there that are putting in work on the street hoping to garner favor from the Brothers.
Tijuana Jailer has said on a number of occasions that the Sureno gangsters are totally expendible to the Carnals, let me tell you how I witnessed this cold blooded attitude myself years ago while with a bonafide Carnal I knew from doing time together and biz.
This friend and I and our jaina's were kicking back at his house which he was renting in Rosemead. He was an old veterano from L street, Wilmas, and was hooked up from way back, was a main source for drugs.
We are all having a few drinks ect; listening to music and having a good time when all of a sudden we here a bunch of yelling and then blam, blam, blam, blam, shots fired and screaming.
We all jump up and check the scene outside for danger.
Up the street at the corner theres a youngster about 16 lying there and a couple of other youngsters screaming loudly for help.
This friend and I walk up to the corner to see if we could help and when we get there this kid is on his back with blood squirting out of a couple holes in his chest.
We try to calm the kid down until an ambulance gets there, when this kid who is in shock starts yelling loudly "Viva mi varrio" "Lomas rifa",or something like that.
This Carnal just scowled and stood up and said to me "Fuck him, let him die yelling, stupid motherfucker deserves to die in the street, Viva mi Varrio, what a bunch of bullshit!
I can tell a dozen similar stories about these cynical old Carnals.
These old vatos are concerned about business, money, power, control, and don't give a rats ass about some gangsters or varrios or surenos except how they can benefit by there existence.
They do though hold the strings to a large extent and like puppetmasters can lay down a new regla or edict about how varrio business is conducted.
If killing of innocents and civilians is going to fuck up someones movida and cost some feria then you'll see some kind of adjustment made.
Whatever can save innocent lives or whoever can put a lid on this horrible "profile killing" is alright with me. In this case "the means justify the end"

Don Q. said ………………….. ”When a Gov't can convince the populace that it's dealing with a race or group of people that "don't put the same value on human life that we do" then it becomes easy to convince people that it's OK to just deal with them "with any means necessary, and with extreme prejudice"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But don't forget if that "race" is committing the majority of the crimes with no apparent regard for the lives of even innocent kids and young girls it makes the government jobs of demonizing them very easy.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/homicidereport/2007/02/melissa_paul_16.html
“Melissa Paul, a 16-year-old Latino girl, was shot in the back at 3222 Verdugo Road in Glassell Park and died at 8 p.m. Feb. 6. The Franklin High School student was walking with two other teenagers when the Latino suspects rolled up in a car and asked their gang affiliation”

The other thing I don’t understand is why all Mexicans aren’t screaming about this problem since they are usually the victims of gang crimes. But if a few cops rough up a few criminals they are screaming police brutality. But when thousands of gang members fuck up their lives, why aren’t they screaming gang brutality?

But I guess this is what I like to call the victimization mentality where we like to blame everything on the government and not on your cousin or son who is a gang member causing holly hell in the Los Angeles area. Until parents start taking responsibility for some these problems nothing will ever change, short of a nuclear bomb on the city of Los Angeles. The government can not raise your kids and they should not have that responsibility.

White Bread,
Your right the Mexican people who are victimized should be pissed and I'm sure a lot of them are pissed but at the sametime are to afraid to say anything for several reasons, one the gangsters may come at them and 2nd they fear the police and government just as much.

I don't know if it's because you think this site is only about Mexican gangs but I get a kick out of how you only bring up the negative in regards to Mexicans, never blacks, whites, Asians etc.

There were two shootings last night in LA, one blacks shooting latinos and the other latinos shooting blacks.

I bring up mexican/latino gangs because they are by far the largest criminal element we have in Southern California. And also because this blog is mostly about latino gangs. The Mayor of Los Angeles is mostly concerned with latino gangs and a few black gangs. Asian and white gangs are but a very small percentage of the gangs in Southern California. The story below is repeated on a daily basis in Southern California and almost always involves mexican gangs. If you were not latino you would not be so quick to defend these low life thugs who seem to have no common sense, and no regard for human life. And I am not saying every Mexican is a criminal or gang member, but the Latino gangs are the most violent and seem to have no conscious.

A person needs to learn empathy, compassion, common sense, shame and pride from his parents and in his home at an early age. These are not values you can easily teach once someone is a young adult.

2 Teens Hospitalized Following South L.A. Shooting
(CBS) LOS ANGELES An apparent gang-related shooting in South Los Angeles Monday left two teens and an adult hospitalized, police said.

The shooting occurred when a car full of Latino males pulled up to two African American teenage boys standing outside of 5950 S. Main Street at 7:40 p.m., according to Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The males in the car asked the teens where they were from, a common way of trying to determine gang affiliation, then someone inside the car opened fire on them, Lopez said.

The victims, ages 16 and 17, were struck in their legs, as was a Latino man, 54, whom Lopez described as an "innocent bystander."

It's the same in all interprises be it legit or not.

I thought the blog was about Gangs, crime, cops and politics in Los Angeles not crazy serial killers. (See Wally’s title) And that is what I am posting about. I hate to disappoint you SVBS, but whites are not the only ones who can go postal. There are serial/crazy killers in every country and of every race. I provided you with the names of just three Latino serial killers below.

Pedro Lopez of the Andes killed over 300 people.
http://www.fortunecity.com/roswell/streiber/273/lopez_mo.htm

Delfina and Maria de Jesus Gonzales "Las Poquianchis" were two sisters from Mexico who killed over 91 people.

Did you forget about Richard Ramirez - The Night Stalker of Los Angeles?
http://crime.about.com/od/serial/p/nightstaker.htm

I am absolutely sure that in the last 10 years more people in Los Angeles have been killed by Mexican gang members than all the “postal whites”. And don’t forget the gangs are also responsible for thousands of assaults, robberies, burglaries, car-jackings and other crimes every year.

I hope we can stop the gangs in California before they rise to the level of heinous crimes as in other Latin American countries as shown below.

Police in Honduras have arrested a suspected member of a notorious Central American youth gang in connection with the massacre of 28 bus passengers.

Seven slain in Mexico police stations, the two Acapulco attacks are carried out by gunmen dressed as soldiers. Authorities see a link to drug cartels.

I guess SVBS wants to give these idiots some kind of prize because they only killed Cheryl Green and wounded the other three teens with her. Did he want the other two girls and boy to be killed as well or what?

http://www.nbc4.tv/news/10568465/detail.html
“The killing of a 14-year-old black female in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles was racially motivated, police said Tuesday, and the Hispanic gunman remains at large. We are labeling it as a hate crime, said Officer Martha Garcia of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office. Cheryl Green was fatally shot at about 3:10 p.m. Friday near 206th Street and Harvard Boulevard, Garcia said. Three other teens -- two girls and a boy -- were also wounded, but survived, Garcia said.”

I am glad the gang members of Los Angeles are such terrible marksman or are high on crack when doing their shootings. Below are just the latest incidents of gang members shooting at multiple victims and missing multiple victims because of their bad aim. I hope these dumb fuckers never go to a firing range and practice shooting. And keep smoking that crack before doing a drive-by. I would like to use my 30-30 and see how many of these idiots I don’t miss.

What do you mean he wasn't white, because he was from Bosina and a muslim? Last I checked the muslims in Bosina all looked pretty white to me as did the picture of this guy. You couldn't tell a Catholic Croatian or a Orthodox Serb apart from a Bosnian Muslim if you lined all 3 of them up.

White Bread, you are correct Mexican gang memembers do committ the most gang crimes in L.A since they have 3-4 times the population of black gangs but if you break it down I doubt there's much of a difference if you look at the total numbers of memembers verus the crimes committited.

Oh and by the way you know who's buying the majority of the drugs from these gangs members? Your middle class white kids. I know cause I work in that field and 99% of the kids that come through are white and the one's who are from So. Strange how the “gang problem” and “crime” in general, that we as a society are grappling with, and trying to figure reasons and remedy’s for, has for some people turned into a “Mexican Problem”. “The Mexicans are inherently violent and criminals”,
“The Mexicans are trying to take back the Southwest US for Mexico”, “The Mexicans are a drain on Society and our resources”, The Mexicans have too many children and are a threat to the Environment”, The Mexicans are going to demand the English language be relegated to second place in favor of Spanish in the SW USA”.”The wild Mexican gangs are making people move to Santa Clarita”, and on and on.
Now one of the regular bloggers here, who I personally enjoy due to his being spokesman for all things white (a window into the white mindset?), a person who is to be admired for his continual willingness to humiliate himself, his anti Mexican diatribes.
The illustrious “White is Right” aka White Bread, White Rice, Wonder Bread, White Flight, White Fright, Police Station Groupie, Defender of Manifest Destiny, Archie Bunker, etc; etc; seems to be trying to prove a theory that Mexican/ Americans are or can be mass murderers due to the existence of mass murderer’s in Honduras and or Peru or Mexico. Hmmmmm! Very scientific!
Not to belabor the point but I would tend to agree with a statement made years ago by Black Spokesman “H Rap Brown” who when challenged on his self defense for Blacks program, stated “Violence is as American as Apple Pie”.
I would agree totally with that statement, and not passing judgment, but one only has to review the history of this continent and the massacre and holocaust of the Native Americans by “European Conquerors”, the exodus and massacre of African Slaves, the wars of “Manifest Destiny”, The incredible cost in human life (mostly immigrant) lost on the building of railroads, canals, in the mines, factories, to see Brown was right on.
You want to talk about lives lost due to the violence of wars by the “White Race” in the last few centuries? How many millions, quien sabe, but it’s for sure way more than in all the lives lost in all the wars in the history of the world put together.
The Civil War, WW1 and WW2, The fight by the third world to free themselves from European Imperialist Colonialism? I don’t know; pick a number, how many millions?

Want to see a very chilling and telling example of this? Then I recommend the documentary “The Fog of War” where ex Secretary of Defense “Robert McNamara” tells all about the waste and futility of the Vietnam War and recalls his career as Warrior for the Ruling Class. In one telling scene he “laughs” as he explains how he and General Curtis LeMay designed the infamous “fire bombing of Tokyo” in WW2.
McNamara with a smile on his face jokes that “ In Vietnam we only lost 50 or 60 thousand soldiers, We (McNamara and LeMay), killed a hundred thousand civilians in one night in Tokyo, LeMay always said that if we had lost the war we would have been tried as war criminals” he says, still smiling!
So yea we have a serious gang problem and I hope we can get a handle on it soon but it’s ridiculous for people to single out Mexican Americans as being inherently violent or criminal.
And yea there are a lot of Mexicans in the prisons but I will refer back to our own American Author and Spokesman “Mark Twain” who many years ago stated “I can go to any country in the world and tell you who the exploited classes are, all I have to do is visit the prisons and see what group of people are there”

Why can't we just go back to 1960's white america.

The National Football League refused to run a recruitment ad for the U.S. Border Patrol in last week's Super Bowl program, saying it was "controversial" because it mentioned duties such as fighting terrorism and stopping drugs and illegal aliens at the border.
"The ad that the department submitted was specific to Border Patrol, and it mentioned terrorism. We were not comfortable with that," said Greg Aiello, a spokesman for the NFL. "The borders, the immigration debate is a very controversial issue, and we were sensitive to any perception we were injecting ourselves into that."
The NFL's rejection didn't sit well with Border Patrol agents, who called it a snub of their role in homeland security and said it was "more than a little puzzling."

As a proud hard working "illegal" from Jalisco, Mexico, I applaud the NFL's decission and will continue to root for my Colts and enjoy my ice cream and pumkin pie, would you like some Mr. White Bread?

Since today I am sitting at home and trapped in a snowstorm I'd like to comment on the Bank of America's policy of issuing credit cards to undocumented immigrants and the shitstorm, fear and loathing, this is causing to people with a severe case of "Mexican Phobia".

First of all it's not just Mexicans who are undocumented but many diverse immigrant's will be granted these credit cards.
Secondly the Bank of America is in the USA, where free enterprise reigns and they can do whatever they want with thier money. Is it illegal to do business with undocumented immigrants? I don't think so cause every major Corp in the country is falling all over themselves to get a piece of that action.
And isn't it ironic that the Bank of America is the first to issue credit cards to these immigrants.
It's of interest to note that before the Bank of America was the BofA it was called the "Bank of Italy", started by the "Gianinni Bros" in San Francisco, Ca. and made it's money issuing credit to mainly Italian immigrants who couldn't get credit or banking service's anywhere else.
So here we are with the Bof A going full circle and will again make serious lana doing business with honest, hard working, immigrants.

Why are so many Mexicans mad at me? I have not killed, robbed or sold drugs to any school kid. I merely point out the fact that Mexican gangs are out of control here in the Los Angeles area. Many L.A city officials are finally taking notice. I also don’t think you can just buy your way out of this problem. The parents who raise the young gang members need to start learning to be better parents to their kids. Maybe we need to have adult parenting classes.

And please quit blaming gangs only on poverty and the government. My own landscaper who is recent Mexican Immigrant has only been in this country 10 years and now has about 16 employees and 4 trucks in his landscape business. When I first hired him he had just one very old Toyota truck and one other helper now his crews show up in new Ford one ton trucks. I am sure he was never in a gang and just worked damn hard to get ahead.

If a parent has a ghetto/barrio mentality what do you expect from their kids. I have seen from this web-site and other “brown-pride” web-sites how so many Latinos think brown-pride is about being a gang member. So why is it a surprise that so many Latino kids are in gangs and have no regards for another human’s life? The only way gangs can be eliminated is to lock up all the older gang members and start giving the younger kids a better education. But with so many gangs in so the Los Angeles schools this is a difficult task. Does anybody here even talk to any kids or teachers in the Los Angeles schools?

And we need to quit allowing so many illegal aliens into our state. We do not have enough jobs, schools and etc. in the state to support all the illegal immigration. The schools in Los Angeles have about a 40% ESL student ratio. The L.A. Schools are already over-crowed we can not just have an open door policy to everybody.

So to all my haters; don’t hate the Whit Bread, hate the stupid gang members who are a bad example for the honest hard working Mexicans.

White Bread, now Bank of America is oferring Visa and Mastercard cards to illegal aliens. I feel my testicles tightening. Crying out loud instead of deporting them, they're giving them ice cream and pumkin pie.

They aren't giving away money if that's what you think. They know that there is money to be made and just like any good business they are not going to pass this chance up. The fact is that Immigrants are important to this countries economy and without their labor many industries would cease to exist. Undocumented migrants that succeed in fixing their immigration status tend to raise their economic situation very fast. They get better paying jobs, buy homes and start businesses. According to a 2002 Economic Census by the US Census Bureau, 188,472 businesses in LA county were owned by Latinos. I personally know many Latinos who have opened their own businesses since then. I believe that the next census will show a very big increase on that figure. RAZA succeeding and moving up in life is what scares people like you and your fellow SOS crowd. You would rather see us in poor barrios than see us in affluent areas of the city. But we are living in affluent areas too, and there is nothing that your crowd can do to stop us. I know that that is the reason for your anger. You fuckers can't believe it when a Mexican owns a bigger house than you. I have seen this type of surprise and jealousy from white people many times. When Costco moved out of the corner of Vineland and ShermanWay to a "better" location deeper inside the city of Burbank. Many thought that the warehouse left behind would remain vacant and crumble. But some Mexican business owners bought it and haven't looked back since. The parking area was too big for their needs so they had some retail spaces built and leased them out. The place is thriving. I can go on and on with many other success stories but I think that I've made my point.

In the United States it has large investments with the Morgan Bank, the Chase-Manhattan Bank, the First National Bank of New York, the Bankers Trust Company, and others. Don Q said …………”Now one of the regular bloggers here, who I personally enjoy due to his being spokesman for all things white (a window into the white mindset?), a person who is to be admired for his continual willingness to humiliate himself, his anti Mexican diatribes. Hmmmmm! Very scientific!”

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

First of all I can not take credit for every name/moniker you listed. Have you ever stopped to think that it is possible that I am not the only person here who is not an ex-convict and gang sympathizer?

I did not say Mexicans were the mass murders of the world, I was just simply pointing out the fact that mass murders exist in every country and in every race and whites are not the only ones who can go postal. I like how you take my words and change them to fit into your outlandish theories.

I can also say Don Q. has an Anglo/White paranoia because we are to blame for all the social problems of every Latino. How did you discover that I personally give guns to Mexican gangs I so they may kill each other on the streets of Los Angeles.

I see you consider me a “window into the white mind-set”, I am not so narrow mined as to view you in the same fashion. I know that most Mexicans have not been in jail and blame all their problems on the almighty White/Anglo conspiracy against all things Mexican. I am sure you were in prison because you were framed by crooked cops and were really an innocent choir boy on his way to church. I know most people in jail are really innocent and are victims of the Anglo conspiracy.

But I do thank you for giving me a window into the mind set of the type of person who is probably going to raise the next generation of gang member. And when they end up in jail will blame all their problems on everybody else but themselves. So for that I do thank you for educating me as to why gangs have been around for generations, and also how we need to educate their kids so they do not have a chip on their shoulder against all of society.

Listen up kids of Los Angels; if you study hard in school and work hard and stay out of gangs you can move out of the ghetto. You are NOT A VICTIM like Don Q wants you to believe. Just look at the Mayor and District Attorney of Los Angeles as role models and not former gang members and convicts.

I never knew the Vatican had that much cash flow with B of A thanks for the info Jim. Man the right wingers are flipping out on this issue, what's next B of A giving domestic partners shared accounts and what not, haha.

SV VBS makes some good points. I've noticed over the last couple years on my street at least 6 houses that went up for sale were bought by Latino familys. Before some of you say yea "6 family's" no actually they've all been single family's with maybe a added uncle. It's the same old story after awhile all immigrants start buying into the "American Dream" shit these people even fix up their yards like the white people do it, no crazy bright colors on the houses, if you live in a varrio you'll know what I'm talking about lol.

White Bread,

It's your attitude that people don't like. No one has agrued that some of your points aren't valid but you are part of that crowd that seems to think the cause of all problems in America are because of the evil Mexican. I'm still not convicned you're white, but possibly black but then again you sound like a typical white guy from the Valley or O.C.

Your "crowd" also likes to lump all the brown people into that "illegal" camp, you seem to forget that the vast majority of Latino's are here legally! There are people in the Mexican community who are sick of the gangs as much as anyone, they are the poor people who have to deal with it everyday, you don't have to deal with it up in Santa Clarita.
I am not one to blame all the gang problems on schools, jobs and lack of money although those do contribute to the problem. But in a lot of cases it's cultural, kids have dads, grandfathers and great grandfathers who were from the same gang, older gangs like White Fence have generations of members from the same familys.

But like American culture in general everything is more violent today. These kids don't give a shit, they just shoot first. It used to be that you had to be able to back up your talk with your fist, there were rules no shooting at someone with his mom or his hyna or near a church etc. now these fucking kids don't give a shit period.

I enjoy reading all the post about how racist and anti-mexican this country is. And how we exploit mexicans, but the mexicans will still risk their lives crossing the desert to come to this country to be "put in jail, victimized and exploited". Does anyone else see the irony in those statements. I would like to talk to a "real mexican" who just risked his life crossing the desert to come here and get his opinion.

Like I said, it's admirable how our own "white is right" aka "white as the driven snow" is willing to continuously humiliate himself for our benefit.
His latest tirade is classic in it's Freudian possibilities, or could be Jungian due to the obvious bad dreamlike, non-cognizant, behavior he exposes.

I understand his contempt for me and others here, who even though ex gangsters and ex pintos have reformed and try and make a better life for thier children and others, but I guess thats not enough for the spokesman for the White Race. Ni modo, lo que sea,
can't be all things to all people.

But a question to ponder on, do I or do I not detect a slight bit of ass kissing or backsliding from the "White Knight"? He is suddenly claiming to be an egalitarian and he puts forth examples of Mexicans for adulation.
He exclaims in his whinny ass voice, "I don't hate all Mexicans, some of my best friends are greasers", no no I regret that remark, I don't want to put words in his mealy ass mouth. But if he keeps this up he will lose his membership to the "Minutemen" or "White citizens council" or your seat on the Santa Clarita lawn bowling ass.

The fact that you bring up The Civil War , WWI , WWII to prove your point that Whites are mass murders is humourous. There's a big difference between fighting a war and selling drugs and gangbanging.
Does that mean that this guy is just another killer? :

Jose M. Lopez, 94, a retired Army master sergeant who received the Medal of Honor for engaging in a series of "seemingly suicidal missions" during the Battle of the Bulge, died May 16 2005 at a daughter's home in San Antonio. He had cancer.

Sgt. Lopez was born in Mexico, orphaned when he was 8 and worked in a series of subsistence jobs. A short but sinewy man, he boxed lightweight for many years in his youth. After a series of seafaring misadventures -- he once was stranded at sea for weeks on a cargo boat with nothing to eat but a cache of bananas -- he enlisted in the Army during World War II.

He landed at Normandy a day after the June 6, 1944, invasion, and a bullet smacked into his ammunition belt, grazing his hip.

"I was really very, very afraid,'' he told journalist Bill Moyers for a television special in 1990. "I wanted to cry, and we saw other people laying wounded and screaming and everything, and there's nothing you could do. We could see them groaning in the water, and we had to just keep walking.''

At dawn on Dec. 17, 1944, he and his men were outside Krinkelt, Belgium, shortly after the start of the German offensive through the Ardennes known as the Battle of the Bulge.

Lugging a heavy machine gun, Sgt. Lopez climbed into a shallow, snow-covered hole that left everything above his waist exposed. He heard the rumbling of a tank, which he figured was American; an Allied soldier a few hundreds yards away had failed to signal him of approaching danger.

When he saw the German Tiger tank come into sight and the horde of German foot soldiers around it, he thought of dozens of his men just a few hundred yards away. Aiming at the soldiers around the tank, he killed 10 of them. That prompted the Tiger tank to fire rather recklessly in his direction. It took three shell blasts to knock Sgt. Lopez over, and he suffered a concussion.

He nevertheless repositioned himself to prevent enemy soldiers from outflanking him, resetting his gun and killing 25 more Germans.

Allowing time for his comrades to retreat to a safer position, he then dashed through the dense and protective forest and avoided contact with a cascade of enemy small-arms fire.

Eventually, the Americans fell back to Krinkelt and held out through the night. The Germans bypassed the town.

A few months later, Gen. James A. Van Fleet presented Sgt. Lopez with the Medal of Honor. The citation recognized the "seemingly suicidal missions in which he killed at least 100 of the enemy . . . [and which] were almost solely responsible for allowing Company K to avoid being enveloped, to withdraw successfully and to give other forces coming up in support time to build a line which repelled the enemy drive."

Jose Mendoza Lopez was born July 10, 1910. He never knew his exact birth town but was raised in Veracruz. His father was gone; his mother said he had drowned. She died of tuberculosis.

With other relatives dead or unable to support him, he made his way to Texas and settled in the Rio Grande Valley town of Mission. There, a family let him sleep in their shed and fed him.

His Medal of Honor citation lists Mission as his birthplace.

He spent time hooking rides on freight trains, and at 17 found himself in Atlanta. Standing 5 feet 5 inches and weighing 130 pounds, he nevertheless fought and pummeled a much bigger man.

A boxing manager who witnessed the beating trained the newly named "Kid Mendoza" and saw him through 52 victories and three losses.

Sgt. Lopez once said the greatest moment of his boxing career was meeting Babe Ruth, who attended one bout in Atlanta and shook hands with the contenders before the first bell.

In 1936, he joined the U.S. Merchant Marine and held other maritime jobs.

After his World War II service, he fought in Korea until a ranking officer heard that a Medal of Honor recipient was in battle. He was ordered to the rear and spent months picking up bodies and registering them for burial.

"Monster" Kody Scott of the Eight-Tray Crips...
LAPD officials said the allegation, if proved in court, could be a potential third strike for Scott, which could result in another long jail sentence....

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-monster15feb15,1,7073344.story?coll=la-headlines-california
'Monster' goes from bestseller list to most wanted list.

Police said Scott — whereabouts unknown — was being sought for an alleged burglary. "Suspect assaulted victim (friend of suspect) after victim refused to loan vehicle to suspect," the wanted poster reads. "Suspect fled in victim's vehicle."

Sgt. Manny Santoyo of the 77th Street Division Gang Impact Team said the victim was not so much a friend of Scott as someone who knew him, and the crime was more of a carjacking than what is described in the public bulletin.

LAPD officials said the allegation, if proved in court, could be a potential third strike for Scott, which could result in another long jail sentence.

"He was just too involved in the culture of gangs; he couldn't get away," Santoyo said. "He chose that life."

Pan Blanco, are you a jerk on the phone as well? You might want to be a bit nicer the next time you take that call. That's because there's new technology coming out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology called the "Jerk-O-Meter." The software measures stress levels in your voice and rates you on a scale of zero to 100 to let you know just how annoying you might be sounding.
Project leader Anmol Madan, a Ph.D. candidate at the MIT Media Lab, said his wife came up with the product name as they were discussing his research on using speech patterns to measure interest in conversations. The result is speech software that measures vocal activity and stress during a call and then translates that into a couple of actions. In one scenario, the Jerk-O-Meter software sends a text message to you while you are on the phone letting you know that your voice is getting out of control.

P.S. Reading bad criticism is, of course, like reading Basque
computer manuals while chewing broken glass, only less useful.

I did not know I was Mexican Enemy number one, I have been called a cop, a fed a xenophobe and blah....... blah....... blah.......

I wish I could respond to all the hate mail I have been receiving. I never said I hated any race, but I do hate low life criminals of any race who will randomly kill young kids for sport. If you are one of those sick people who feel you can just kill and rob anybody yes I do hate you.

And to Don Q for all the reading you do, I am surprised you do not seem to know a simple phrase called "personal responsibility". We all know the world and this country is not perfect but one has to learn to prosper in spite of his circumstances. If you want to change the government you need to educate your youth and let them seek political office and become the government. In case you have not noticed many politicians in California are Latino and Black. You can not blame all of the problems of gangs of Los Angeles on the Anglos/Whites of the world. Even Al Shaprton uses the phrase “personal responsibility”; you should search that on the internet.

I never said I was best friends with my landscaper. I was using him as an example of how a guy who came to this country with no money and just a basic knowledge of the language can prosper in this country. He did not come to this country and say the government is going to put me in prison so I will be a criminal anyway because I am a VICTIM of the Anglo controlled government. I think the Latinos who have been here for generations should learn from the real Mexicans who recently came to this country to work hard.

On the subject of immigration do you really think we should just let anybody and everybody into the country? If we brought 1 million armed Angolan immigrants to Los Angeles would Don. Q. and SVBS say, yes we need them here in Los Angeles to balance the racial composition of Los Angeles.

We have a border with Mexico which millions of people freely cross every year, if you are a criminal escaping from Mexico or Central America do you want to me welcome you with a job and free education. Every country needs to have an immigration laws in which people wanting to immigrate need to be screened before we decide we want them in our country. I am sure if it were millions of blacks coming to Los Angels Don Q. and SVBS would be singing a different tune on immigration.

I have been called a paranoid xenophobe, but I believe the people calling me this so often should do a few minutes of reflection and see if just maybe they can apply this to themselves.

The Real White Bread

P.S. And to all the paranoid ex-felons and criminals here, I am not the only person here who posts messages against low life thugs. So quit being so paranoid you are not in jail right now and a cop is not on every corner of the Internet looking for YOU.

White Bread take a deep breath and relax.

I hate fuckers that kill innocent kids even more than you. I don't blame anyone but myself for ever becoming a gangmember and doing time. I don't want kids to make the same mistakes that I made. And I do take full responsibility for everything that I have done. Even though I don't know if DQ was ever a gangmember, and I'm not speaking for him. I believe from reading his statments that he feels the same way.

I also agree that good parenting is very important. But you also have to consider the environment that a kid lives in. For example, a kid growing up in Santa Clarita will never face the same amount of obstacles as a kid that grows up in Sun Valley. I know that it's not either of the kids fault as to where they grow up but it does make a big difference. Things being as they are, one has to really look at every issue in different angles to trully get an understanding of them. The gang problem is a very complicated thing to understand, especially from the sidelines. I have lived through it and still I sometimes wonder how I ever got so sucked into it. I am sure that in order to beat this problem our society has to really focus on education and prevention. When a society is willingly ready to invest in incarceration instead of education you know that it has a problem. Until that way of thinking changes that societies problems will continue. Peace.

In France, duelling became so commonplace that it was outlawed within the Paris city limits. If caught, both parties were guillotined.

Maybe the guillotine should be used by L.A. authorities on anyone caught with a gun or having used a gun to commit a crime. The guillotine would be setup in one of the L.A. sports arenas or coliseums and used weekly.
