WORTH READING
Here's a link to one of the most revealing articles I've ever read about a dropout. It ran in today's Whittier Daily News and underscores few salient points about the generational nature of the gang culture and the seduction of false power. It's clear the writer, Sandy Mazza has been following this story for some time. Nice work.

I know that is the main reason why most dudes don't even want the keys to the neighborhood or the keys to the quarter. Like in any managerial position you are only as good as the people working for you and most gang memebers are young, immature and undisciplined. I remember my older homies telling me that they would pass them when possible, let a youngster take them and get themselves in a wreck. They said most of the time no matter how experienced and strong of a man you were it was going to happen. Sounds like this dude let the fame get to his head and when it got too hot he couldn't hack it. It is easy to be a soldier when there is no war to fight.

Prison solution became problem
A $26-million proposal to ease medical crisis led to a fight that highlights what critics say are flaws in contracting practices.
By Tim Reiterman, Times Staff Writer
June 4, 2007
SAN FRANCISCO — Two appointees whom Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger sent to fix California's dysfunctional prison healthcare system pushed a $26-million, no-bid contract for outside medical services while contract reviewers steadfastly maintained it was overpriced and illegal, records and interviews show.
But instead of providing a strong step toward reforming the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's $1.8-billion medical system, the handling of this "relatively small contract" erupted into a fight that forced out the two appointees and highlights what critics say are systemic contracting breakdowns that helped bloat healthcare costs at the state's 33 prisons.
The contract for a pilot program at two Southern California prisons was supposed to be a model for improving the care of inmates who need to see specialists — one of the major failings that led a federal judge to seize control of prison healthcare and appoint a receiver last year to oversee it.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF! Is the whole criminal justice system / prison industry biz just a giant black hole that has no beggining or end?
Maybe these long ago but still fresh thoughts
from the famous Anarchist “Emma Goldman”, who was killed by the Nazi German SS (thinking can be dangerous!)in 1940 have some merit:
"The most absurd apology for authority and law is that they serve to diminish crime. Aside from the fact that the State is itself the greatest criminal, breaking every written and natural law, stealing in the form of taxes, killing in the form of war and capital punishment, it has come to an absolute standstill in coping with crime. It has failed utterly to destroy or even minimize the horrible scourge of its own creation.
Crime is naught but misdirected energy. So long as every institution of today, economic, political, social, and moral, conspires to misdirect human energy into wrong channels; so long as most people are out of place doing the things they hate to do, living a life they loathe to live, crime will be inevitable, and all the laws on the statutes can only in crease, but never do away with, crime. What does society, as it exists today, know of the process of despair, the poverty, the horrors, the fearful struggle the human soul must pass on its way to crime and degradation. Who that knows this terrible process can fail to see the truth
"Those who will hold the balance between the benefits thus attributed to law and punishment and the degrading effect of the latter on humanity;
those who will estimate the torrent of depravity poured abroad in human society by the informer,
favored by the Judge even, and paid for in clinking cash by governments, under the pretext of aiding to unmask crime;
those who will go within prison walls and there see what human beings become when deprived of liberty, when subjected to the care of brutal keepers, to coarse, cruel words, to a thousand stinging, piercing humiliations, will agree with us that the entire apparatus of prison and punishment is an abomination which ought to be brought to an end."
The Billions dollar question.

To those in the Los Area (Youngster with Game, SV VBS, etc.), if you can please shed some light on some dudes for me. This past Sunday I was at the Lowrider Car Show here at Qualcomm. As you know, the Los Area was heavily represented. A dude and his crew by the name of "Capone-E" did a show with his click called the "Hi-Power Unit". A google search produced his Myspace page, but I can't touch that here at work. Someone in the crowd mentioned "Cyclones!!". Is that where this dude is from? Also, they were pretty flagrant about their handles, wearing them all over their shirts. Just wondering if this dude is legit or a fraud, if for nothing more than for self interst. Once again thank you to all and much respect. -JOSE619
Great article!
Wally: Your article by Sandy Mazza on the EME dropout and the post by T/Jailer were perfectly timed (?) and both are enjoyable and elightening reading. Keep this kind of stuff coming. I also look forward to reading your book!
////Tijuana Jailer wrote: The idea that La EME would have a serious interest in street gang cease fires without a self-serving criminal motivation for La EME is unrealistic.
Similar to the wind-driven flames of an out-of-control forest fire, the EME's influence goes where the unpredictable winds carry them. A gang cease-fire edict worked for them in the 90's because it served a purpose for them THEN (to flex their muscles and demonstrate their ability to enforce it's demands on the outside + it solidified it's street gang base).
No seasoned cop nor veterano gang member seriously believed at any time that the EME was instituting a "no drive by" edict as a community service gesture or because they were concerned about Chicanos killing Chicanos.
From the beginning, since 1957, La EME's initial motivation has been the ruthless Control of it's subjects (then it was the California prison population and the Hispanic street gangs) and the exertion of it's Power through violence (murder primarily) and intimidation (the element of fear). Heroin, cocaine, meth and illicit drugs has been the blood that flows through their criminal veins. In 2007, with a few "tweaks", it remains essentially the same.
For 50 years, the "fodder" they control (namely, prison and street gang members) has dramatically risen in numbers into the 21st Century.
The calculated manipulation of these loyal gang members offers their subjects hope - the hope of someday becoming a "made man".
This is probably the biggest "lie" that is promulgated by La EME. The chances of a common gang member someday joining this supergang would be similar to a high school aspiring baseball player making it to the Major Leagues. Probably not gonna happen. The EME has what almost amounts to a "books are closed" policy. Unless the soldier in question has performed to an extraordinary degree, they will not risk entrusting too many new carnales with inside information that can be used against them in future RICO's. They have been burned too many times already!
In the meantime, the EME's interests happen to coincide with the street gangsters' interests and you have a tailor-made army begging and craving to make a street name by putting in work for their idols, this under the false promise of someday becoming a made member of this elite group.
Here's the downside: EME members feel "at home" when they're locked up. These "family reunions" afford them ample time to compare notes and make evaluations pertaining to La EME's activities as well as their underlings on the outside.
With regard to EME associates, we must remember:
Rule Number 1: Any NON-EME person who is involved in their criminal activity is EXPENDABLE, no matter how "close" he or she is to the Carnales.
Rule Number 2: Although most carnales respect and apply a "hands off" to an associate "under the wing" of another EME member, a "thumbs down" sentence (death decree) by a carnal on a non-carnal is binding. A non-member is EXPENDABLE!!
If you possess too much EME knowledge, especially about criminal events that have occurred, there are two perspectives to consider:
the associate feels honored to be deemed worthy to be trusted by La EME to perform for them;
The EME, on the other hand, are aware of how much potentially damaging information is lodged in an associate's brain.
The logical decision, at some point, is to "eliminate those files". The manner in which those "files are eliminated" is to execute this person. If he is not worthy of EME membership this associate, with each passing moment of EME association, becomes an increasing candidate for "elimination".
Warning: Those who find the lifestyle inviting; those women who see adventure in the bad boy;
those who choose to take it to the highest gangster level; and those who get too close to the carnales and possess certain knowledge ..... should make preliminary funeral arrangements for your life will likely be shortened.
Bottom Line: There is no one worth idolizing that will ensure a one-way ticket to the pits of hell.
Peace ......

Thanks for the insight. Not only is this loyalty found in the Chicano community but the paisas are also caught up in this madness.
You can't use the "common sense" argument with street hoods because they don't have any common sense to start with! They are addicted to the lifestyle.

From the article .....
Furniss, 50, a 25-year department veteran who uses a friendly, chit-chat approach when interviewing gang members, played to Harris' emotional state. He pulled out some photos, including one that showed the severely bruised face of a 5-year-old boy.
Art "Snappy" Perez, the Los Nietos gang member who shot him, had next gone to Harris' ex-girlfriend's house and beat her young son, Furniss told him. Harris was infuriated. Staring at a photo lineup from his hospital bed, Harris drew a circle around a picture and handed it back to Furniss. The photo was of Perez.

I see the mexican gang members are just as low life and cowards as the mayates our cholo spokesman hates.
What kind of coward would beat an innocent 5 year old boy. I hope the old fool reads the article very carefully and tells us about how the mexican cholos are better than the mayates.
These gang banging fools should learn an old saying "no honor among theives". If you trust another criminal what kind of fool are you.
Good post Wally, I can hardly wait for the response from our old sureno spokesmen who seem to to idolize these drug addicted psychos.
LIVE A VIOLENT LIFE, GOT TO EXPECT IT TO COME BACK TO YOU ONE DAY..LITTLE JOKER NEVER THOUGHT IT COULD HAPPEN TO HIM..AND WHEN IT DID, HE TURNED TO MUSH..THERE'S NO PENSION OR RETIREMENT PLAN FOR OLD GANGSTERS..EITHER YOU FADE AWAY FROM THE LIFE TO START WALKING THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW, OR DIE LIVING THE LIFE OF DRUGS AND VIOLENCE IN THE STREETS. No arrest yet in fatal shooting
DA to determine if suspect was defending himself from drive-by
By Wes Woods II, Staff Writer
RANCHO CUCAMONGA - A man suspected in the shooting death of a Fontana resident on Saturday morning has not been arrested because his actions might be classified as self-defense, sheriff's deputies said.
Shots were fired from a Honda Accord about 6 a.m. into a residence on Stafford Street in what deputies said appears to be a gang-related drive-by shooting.
A man returned fire and hit the Accord's driver, Johnny Maldonado, 26, who was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot to the upper body.
The man who fired the shots from the house has not been arrested. His name has not been released by police because it is a gang-related case.

I do not know capon-e personally or any of these other rappers but, it is all entertainment. There is a good chance he grew up in a varrio and I am sure his "hangers on" are gangsters but, he is in a buisness to cater to the youth. I have never heard his songs so I don't know if he has hardcore lyrics but, I know alot of chicanos like to listen to chicano gangster rap. I have heard but, am not sure that most of these dudes are fake but, who knows the person who told me could just be a hater. So to be more clear the peopel buying his music are mostly Chicano gang members and kids growing up in the varrio. Capon-e and others like him have to make their consumers feel like they can relate to them and know what they are going through. It is a buisness, just like the rest of the fake black gangster rappers.

GET YOUR SCROLL READY JOE.
Racial shift plays out in Lynwood politics.
As African Americans lose numbers and influence to Latinos, the friction can be felt at City Hall and beyond.
By John L. Mitchell, Times Staff Writer
June 5, 2007
For years, the battle for control of the city of Lynwood has been shrouded in accusations of political corruption and cronyism.
A former mayor is serving a 16-year sentence in federal prison for embezzlement. Five current and former City Council members have been charged with padding their salaries with public funds. And an effort is underway to recall four of the five current City Council members.
But beyond the allegations of graft and corruption, a different war — rife with racial and ethnic stereotyping — is being waged in the working-class city south of Los Angeles.
Latinos, who make up more than 80% of the city's 72,000 residents, are vying for power with African Americans, who, despite smaller numbers, maintain considerable influence by virtue of superior voter strength in a city where 40% of the residents are foreign-born.
A decade ago, when blacks controlled the city's political landscape, Latinos complained that they were being denied city jobs and lucrative municipal contracts. Now Latinos dominate and African Americans complain of being frozen out.
The problem is emblematic of emerging tensions throughout Los Angeles County, where the Latino population has surged as African American numbers have dwindled.
The tensions are playing out in cities such as Carson, Compton and Inglewood, where traditional black political muscle — concentrated largely among older working- and middle-class homeowners — is showing signs of weakening as a generation of Latinos reaches voting age. Tensions are also playing out in the race to succeed Rep. Juanita Millender-McDonald, where the competition between two well-positioned African American candidates may result in their canceling each other out, paving the way for a Latina to capture a seat blacks have held for decades.
The black-Latino friction in a city such as Lynwood is exacerbated by a lack of resources and decent jobs and by poverty — all problems common to both groups, said Harry Pachon, a USC professor and head of the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, which released a report in April titled "Beyond the Racial Divide: Perceptions of Minority Residents on Coalition Building in South Los Angeles."
One conclusion, he said, was telling.
"Each group is buying off on the negative stereotypes held by the majority [white culture], rather than questioning them," Pachon said. "Blacks say that Latinos don't take care of their housing, and Latinos felt that blacks don't value families as much."
In Lynwood, some of the strongest evidence of stereotyping can be found on Lynwood Watch (lynwoodwatch.blogspot.com), a website created by an anonymous blogger to keep watch on city officials. The blog encourages readers to voice their opinions, and they do. But many of the comments are laced with calls for Latino unity that include racist rants — in English and Spanish — directed at African Americans.
City Hall is eye of storm
In Lynwood, a center of political and racial strife is City Hall, where council meetings are often stormy. Political opposition has mobilized to challenge the council — on proposed development projects, utility and water tax increases, and criminal charges — and members of the city staff bicker over promotions and salaries. Disputes often break along racial lines.
"It's all about race," said City Councilwoman Leticia Vasquez, who says she has been denounced by fellow Latinos for joining ranks on some issues with two African Americans on the council, Louis Byrd and the Rev. Alfreddie Johnson.
"We don't have to retaliate against each other," said Vasquez, 34, who is a senior field deputy for Assemblyman Mervyn Dymally, a Democrat who represents nearby Compton. "We can work together on issues that cross racial lines."
Lynwood elected its first black to the City Council in 1983, nearly a decade after African Americans began arriving in the bedroom community once known as "Lily White Lynwood." Blacks soon dominated City Hall, but the Latino population was starting its rise; and six years later, the city elected its first Latino council member.
By 1997, a newly elected three-member Latino majority sat on the council and moved quickly to wipe away one symbol of African American success: The name of Mervyn M. Dymally Congressional Park, named in 1990 for the former congressman and the state's first black lieutenant governor, was changed to Lynwood Park.
The new majority — consisting of the city's first elected Latino councilman, Armando Rea, and two businessmen, Ricardo Sanchez and Arturo Reyes — embarked on a campaign to clean up the "unethical practices" of the previous council majority. Black employees were let go. City contracts with independent African American businesses, approved by a lame duck council against the advice of city staff, were canceled.
In 1998, three black contractors filed an $800-million civil rights lawsuit against the city and its three Latino councilmen, alleging discrimination. The city eventually settled, renewing two of the contracts; the third contractor died.
Former City Manager Faustin Gonzales, who ran the city on and off from 1993 to 2003, doesn't remember any discrimination lawsuits filed by Latino contractors.
"They put their hope in their numbers," he said.
But not everything was harmonious among the Latinos at City Hall. Vasquez, who was elected in 2003, soon ran into trouble with three other Latino members of the council.
In some of the closed-door meetings, the three other Latinos would sometimes speak only in Spanish, ignoring Byrd, by then the lone African American member. Vasquez remembers: "I was appalled."
Two years later, she encouraged Johnson to make a run for the council, and when he was elected, she found she was part of a new majority, along with Byrd. But she also lost support among Latinos.
"She snubs her nose at the people in the community," said Silvia Ortiz, a community activist and organizer in the recall against Vasquez and three others on the council.
Lynwood Watch emerged in 2004, around the same time the city found itself involved in a series of corruption investigations that included both Latinos and African Americans. A Times investigation uncovered more than $600,000 in unauthorized travel credit card expenses between 1998 and 2003, including New York musicals and a samba show in Rio de Janeiro.
The municipal government remained under a microscope. By 2005, former longtime Mayor Paul Richards had been convicted of steering city contracts to a front corporation he secretly owned. He collected more than $500,000 before authorities put an end to a scheme that could have netted millions of dollars.
In April, the district attorney accused two current and three former council members of padding their official $9,600 salaries to receive as much as $100,000 for part-time services.
Byrd and Councilman Fernando Pedroza, a Latino, were charged with using city credit cards and other city funds for personal expenses, including trips abroad and airline tickets for spouses, and in Pedroza's case, a session with an exotic dancer in Mexico. Former councilmen Rea, Sanchez and Reyes, all Latinos, were also charged.
The accusations of corruption have fueled a recall effort that started after the council launched an effort to lure a National Football League team to the city with a proposal to build a new stadium that called for razing at least 100 homes. The recall targets Vasquez, Pedroza, Byrd and Johnson, but not Councilwoman Maria Teresa Santillan.
It's not about race, said Ramon Rodriguez, a former city councilman who supports the recall: "Greater accountability is what the community has been asking for."
Racial enmity seen
Over the years, more than a dozen African Americans have lost civil service jobs as Lynwood has tightened its budgets and cut positions.
Former City Manager Enrique Martinez, who now manages the city of Redlands, said he was "pushed" both by African Americans and Latinos, who were in the majority when he arrived in the city in 2005. But he singles out one example in particular:
"I was given a list of seven or eight names — all African American — and told to cut their positions, supposedly because there was no money in the budget," he said. "Well, there was money in the budget, and those seven or eight African Americans stayed."
Meanwhile, two African American contractors remain wary even though they reached settlements in lawsuits accusing the city of discrimination and have continued doing business with the city.
One of them, Lee Duncan, who owns California Western Arborists Inc., worries about the safety of his tree-trimming crews after one of his trucks was torched on a city street.
"I'm just guessing someone was upset we had the contract," he said. But he added, "I don't have any enemies."
Many residents of Lynwood are concerned about the racial enmity they see playing out in the city and on Lynwood Watch.
For Phyllis Cooper-Lyons, 60, a Recreation and Parks official, the almost daily barrage of comments about her appearance and work habits are a form of racial harassment.
"It affects you even though you know you are bigger than that," she said.
"I don't want to even look at it, but something draws me to it. Like, 'What can they say about me today?' "

Wally, to the nut who said NJ drivers are better. Don't BELIEVE HIM.. It's ALL a LIE! Having lived on both Coasts I can tell you that LA drivers are not only regulars at driving faster highway speeds (I mean over 55-60 mph), LA drivers also have a better sense of timing when it comes to changing lanes or allowing for a car to merge in. In LA it seems that peoples minds are trained to shift the driving habit accordingly in traffic to minimize congestion and the highway system is superior. In New Jersey (and New York, Connecticut, Mass, and Rhode Island) the drivers seem to be in LA LA land (and I don't mean "Los Angeles" when I say LA).. Everybody wants to beat the next car to the merge and ultimately screw up traffic for everyone. Hands down, LA drivers might drive in traffic often, but that traffic moves faster than that of New York, and LA drivers learn to make their time in the car useful. Like I said I am from the east coast. Between Washington and Boston, in a distance roughly equivalent to Orange County to San Fran, there are 11 major cities and upwards of 70 million people. Those cities are relatively old, laid out before the era of the automobile. Most of those cities have rivers and bays creating choke points for access. And with a few exceptions, the highways connecting them are short on capacity, particularly in the Philly - NYC corridor. The result is congestion, with the difference being that you can sometimes spit to where you want to be and still be 45 minutes away. I always carry eggs to throw at slow inconsiderate drivers and my Groucho Marx eyeglasses with the attached big snozzola and hairy brows to conceal my identity.
Aye Wally:
The gist of this article concerning you is that you have an agenda against mexicans and are playing all the sockas on this blog. With Don Culo at the top of your list of suckas.

///I WOULD THINK LA EME KEY HOLDERS ARE UNTOUCHABLE MEN.///
Too many things going on behind the scenes to come to such a general conclusion. For example, there have been instances where M carnales compete with other M carnales for a territory or a varrio. Since they aren't supposed to whack each other for fear of breaking EME rules, they have homies from one carnal whack a homie from another carnal's varrio.
Then you have carnales that get put in the hat for their reasons (only the M vatos know the truth) and they use a rival gang (in this case Los Nietos was a longtime enemy of Canta Ranas) to do the work. That's what happened in the 90's when Dido from El Monte was hit by the homies from Sangra. Dido had fucked up with the carnales, he was put in the hat, and Huero Shy gave the job to Sangra, whose varrio has a longtime pedo with El Monte Flores. It happens all the time and like Don Quixote said, these vatos are small potatoes. Like T/Jailer said: they are EXPENDIBLE. The papers play it up big time, the average Joe Blow eats it up, the Blogs play it up, the people who read the blogs take it as the mera verdad and you have a bunch of pinchi chisme - gossip for my English-only speaking camaradas. Only the carnales and the vatos on the calles know the why's and wherefores. Do you seriously think that a street vato from any hood would hit a made carnal without getting the green light from the carnales?
How long do you think this vato would last in gp (general population) if the M didn't sacntion the pegada?
If this shooter is able to walk the mainline without being hit, then you know the M gave their blessing. If he is hit, then you know they did not give their blessing. It's as simple as that.

L.A. Mayor, Police Chief To Pursue Anti-Gang Bill
(AP) LOS ANGELES Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and police Chief William Bratton are expected on Capitol Hill today to testify on behalf of an anti-gang bill that would provide funds for the city.
The Gang Abatement and Prevention Act would toughen federal penalties for gang-related violence and provide more than $1 billion for anti-gang programs over five years.
The funds are critical to supplement Villaraigosa's gang reduction plan that was approved last month by the City Council as part of the city's fiscal 2007-2008 spending plan.
But opponents of the bill have called its definition of gangs and gang crime overly broad and have criticized its heavy emphasis on punishment.
California Senator Dianne Feinstein is one of the bill's authors.
Obama Warns of 'Quiet Riot' Among Blacks
Jun 5 03:07 PM US/Eastern
By BOB LEWIS
Associated Press Writer
HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Tuesday that the Bush administration has done nothing to defuse a "quiet riot" among blacks that threatens to erupt just as riots in Los Angeles did 15 years ago.
The first-term Illinois senator said that with black people from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast still displaced 20 months after Hurricane Katrina, frustration and resentments are building explosively as they did before the 1992 riots.
"This administration was colorblind in its incompetence," Obama said at a conference of black clergy, "but the poverty and the hopelessness was there long before the hurricane.
"All the hurricane did was to pull the curtain back for all the world to see," he said.
Obama's criticism of Bush prompted ovation after ovation from the nearly 8,000 people gathered in Hampton University's Convocation Center, particularly when he denounced the Iraq war and noted that he had opposed it from the outset.
Repeatedly, he referred to the riots that erupted in Los Angeles after a jury acquitted four police officers of assault charges in the 1991 beating of Rodney King, a black motorist, after a high speed chase. Fifty-five people died and 2,000 were injured in several days of riots in the city's black neighborhoods.
"Those 'quiet riots' that take place every day are born from the same place as the fires and the destruction and the police decked out in riot gear and the deaths," Obama said. "They happen when a sense of disconnect settles in and hope dissipates. Despair takes hold and young people all across this country look at the way the world is and believe that things are never going to get any better."
He argued that once a hurricane hits or a jury renders a not guilty verdict, "the frustration is there for all to see."
Obama, who is bidding to become the first black president, took the stage after a succession of ministers repeatedly brought the crowd to its feet, singing, praying and swaying to music.
Obama doesn't regularly focus on racial themes in his standard campaign speeches. He did speak out on black issues in Selma, Ala., in March, when he told a largely black audience that he was a product of the civil rights movement and lectured blacks for failing to vote in large numbers.
this ones for you Don Culo: an example of class you pinche mayate in cholo's clothing
The recent headline on the front page of the San Gabriel Valley Tribune puzzled me - "Latinos tout service in WWII."
Our brothers, relatives and friends enlisted in the armed forces in World War II. They were the proverbial melting pot of America - English, Irish, German, Italian, Mexican, and the list goes on. Those brave men and women who fought in World War II came from all backgrounds, and let's not forget the true Native American, who were indispensable because they had a code that the enemy could not break.
My oldest brother enlisted in the Marines the day after Pearl Harbor. He remembered being called a WOP by the drill inspector. It hurt him, but he got over it. I think "the Latino kid" has a nicer ring.
He brought home the helmet that saved his life when shrapnel went through it.
My other brother was in the European theater of operation. When the war was over, his outfit was sent to the Pacific. He never mentioned if he was called a WOP, but while battling through North Africa and Italy, he was asked to be an interpreter because he understood and spoke the Italian language.
Why is there such sensitivity about not getting recognition? There are people who have heard my
Italian name and they think "mafia." It hurts, but I like to think of what Leonardo DaVinci, Michaelangelo, to name only two, contributed to the world of art. I'd be here all day if I named the Italian geniuses who gave us beautiful music.
I'm a first-generation American and am very grateful and proud of it. When my parents came to this country, they didn't have phones. They didn't have many things that today's immigrants have. And they never complained. They were just happy to be in this country. They went to work, minded their own business and raised their children to honor their country and be good citizens.

Ok I will tell you that you are wrong, read the description of Harris below.
Short-legged but with a powerfully built upper body, Harris can seem gentle and fun-loving. In middle school, local gang members tagged him "Little Joker." With a thin face and high cheekbones that accentuate his dark brown eyes, he cracks jokes often and does imitations of people he has met.
To JOSE619, I believe that the Hi-Power record label that this vato Capone-E and crew represent is composed of vatos from a few different Sureno varrios. But most of them it seems are from Pico Nuevo. They seem to be pretty legit.

I REMEMBER THE PEACE TREATYS, IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD THERE WAS A BIG SPIKE IN UNCHECKED SENSELESS VIOLENCE AGAIN..( NO SUCH THING AS SENSEFULL VIOLENCE). TOO MANY YOUNG TOUGHS ON THE STREETS AT ONE TIME AGAIN..EVERY SO MANY YEARS, THERE'D BE A BUNCH OF YOUNG FRESHLY RELEASED FOOLS KICKING UP DUST AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD..WHEN THE PEACE TREATYS KICKED IN, I FELT GLAD..I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT A FEW INNOCENT LIVES WERE SAVED. INNOCENT MOTHERS AND BABYS AND CHILDREN WERE BEING KILLED BY ACCIDENT HERE AND THERE FOR SOMEONE ELSE..I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS JUST A BIG GAME JUST TO GET CONTROL OF THE DRUGS IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS, AND TO ME IT REALLY DOESNT MATTER..YOUNG FOOLS WERE PUT IN CHECK, AND RANDOM VIOLENCE WENT DOWN ALL OVER..WOMEN AND CHILDREN WERE A LITTLE SAFER FOR A WHILE..SHERIFFS COULDNT DO IT, NEIGHBORHOOD DRUG DEALERS DIDNT CARE..LAW ENFORCEMENT GET PAID FOR KEEPING THE PEACE,RIGHT?..WITH LOVE, LOS ANGELES RESIDENT..
Wally I met this man at the java bar who knew a man who had it on good authority that blogging has only been encouraged to allow the furtherment of the American goverment's global database project to gain complete information awareness on every detail of our lives!!!
But then the barista butted in to put him right - he'd read somewhere on the web that a man in prison had overhead on the bus whilst on day-release that organisations providing blogging facilities are in fact funded by organised criminal masterminds. The Yakuza (Blogger), the Triads (Movable Type) and the Italian Mafia (Typepad). They're using our casually thrown-away data to feed their password-crunching software. They want our identities and our bank accounts. The LA times makes no mention of this!!!

Al Tapone: Tarface
In the thrilling underworld of speakeasies, Tommy guns, and turf wars, Al Tapone was the undisputed emperor of 1920s Chicago. "Tarface" -- a nickname born from the consequences of a violent encounter in his youth with a tar truck-- was many things to many people: a ruthless and vindictive murderer, a generous patron, and a glamorous impresario. Capone's legacy, however, will forever be marked by his role as the most dirtiest faced gangster in American history. Follow Capone's journey from the immigrant Brooklyn neighborhood of his youth to the glittering circles of Chicago's powerful elite, and finally to his years of imprisonment and sudden death at the age of 48 of an Jalapeño overdose.
that vato capone, i think that es cyclones is a hood in city of commerce, but hes tight with alot of fools from all kinds of different hoods, one of those fools is even from that silver lake gang, but cyclones is an actual hood thats named that way, i dont wanna say they were a 5 man gang cuz i did hear about them in my banging days but they probably aint that deep, as far as the chicano or sureno rappers to be more specific, they just cant rap, they have to put the sur and the chicano aside and just be good rappers, cuz negrito rappers make it big cuz they got skills, because you cant make it that big without that, theres not that many negritos to buy the records to make them that rich, latinos and blanquitos are buying the large majority of the albums, thats why now reggaeton took off so hard, latinos were waiting for something of their own, ive been saying that for more than 10 years but the vatos in general dont care about it, the sad thing is that chicanos are nowhere in the reggaeton scene, so in my opinion theres still something missing, lil rob is the only one ill give props to, and spm, other than that they all aint worth the food stamp,, mc blvd had some skills too,
its been awhile since i posted because i had alot going on but i still think this is the best post ive ever seen,
about the mexican flag on the cover of the book, i think it was a good move, if the mexican mafia is an american thing then why do they themselves choose to call themselves the eme, tat themselves with the eagle eating the snake, learn to speak nahuatl,
i know that doesnt take away their americanness, but they are a mexican thing in the core, same like alot of raza always preach in our own barrios or households, then when someone lumps us all together with the paisas we get mad about it, even though the chicanos are the first ones to claim brown pride, while the paisas are more realistic about it,
if he had gone with an american flag then what would people say, i think its still a good cover and i cant wait to read the book, did tj jailer write a book, or someone else that used to post on here, i remember seeing links but that was like 2 years ago or more,
either way i guess i have to take back some of the things i said about brownsville before because there is hella cholos here, i would say they were wannabe cholos but for bville theyre as hardcore as your gonna get,
the real weight down here is moved by the gorudos, which is probably the same as LA in my opinion, the hood in my are is the surenos but they are the lamest wannabes in town though, i got more props for actual hoods that claim their barrio than some wanna be califas thugs that dont even know what the three dots mean or whats the 13 for, especially when theres no nortenos in sight,,lol,
and the drama in mex is popping off hardcore too, but i still love it down there, much love from former gangster, former panorama city former northeast LA
Some psuedo-Dago from Covina claims the Italians were different from Mexican Immigrants.
Makes my head ache when I hear people like the supposed Dago whose brother fought in WW2 and whose parents came from Italy, and just shut up and the Italians never had any problems! Oh yeah! Read your history menso, the Dagos went through some shit also but people like you have short and convenient memories. Now it’s the Mexicans who are the problem huh?
You think the anti Mexican, anti immigrant, nativist, shit is something new? Guess again, this craps been going on since day one, the weird thing now though is that the Mexican American has always been here yet he is considered an interloper
So I guess if you’re an immigrant then just" calla la boca" and mow the lawn or pick the fruit, open your mouth and your in big trouble.
Nicola Sacco (April 22, 1891 – August 23, 1927) and Bartolomeo Vanzetti (June 11, 1888 – August 23, 1927) were two Italian-born American anarchists, who were arrested, tried, and executed via electrocution in Massachusetts. There is much controversy regarding their guilt, stirred in part by Upton Sinclair's 1928 novel Boston.
Critics of the trial have accused the prosecution and trial judge of allowing anti-Italian, anti-immigrant, and anti-anarchist sentiment to influence the jury's verdict.
"Several score Italian anarchists left the United States for Mexico. Some have suggested they did so because of cowardice. Nothing could be more false. The idea to go to Mexico arose in the minds of several comrades who would be restrained from traveling to Europe or wherever revolution broke out"
Some critics felt that the authorities were partially influenced by strong anti-Italian prejudice against immigrants. Against charges of racism and racial prejudice, others pointed out that both men were known anarchist members of a militant organization that had been conducting a violent campaign of bombing and attempted assassinations.
Oh Yeah! Same old bullshit too.
Vanzetti; (could be a Mexican today)
"I would not wish to a dog or a snake, to the most low and misfortunate creature of the earth — I would not wish to any of them what I have had to suffer for things that I am not guilty of.
But my conviction is that I have suffered for things that I am guilty of. I am suffering because I am a radical, and indeed I am a radical; I have suffered because I am an Italian, and indeed I am an Italian... If you could execute me two times, and if I could be reborn two other times, I would live again to do what I have done already". (Vanzetti spoke on 19 April, 1927,
Sounds kind of contemporary no?
Adding to the growing conviction that Sacco and Vanzetti deserved a new trial was the conduct of trial judge Webster Thayer.
During the trial, many had noted how Thayer seemed to loathe defense attorney Fred Moore. Thayer frequently denied Moore's motions, lecturing the California-based lawyer on how law was conducted in Massachusetts. On at least two occasions out of court, Thayer burst into tirade. Once he told astonished reporters that
"No long-haired anarchist from California can run this court!"
According to onlookers later who swore out affidavits, Thayer also lectured members of his exclusive clubs, calling Sacco and Vanzetti "Bolsheviki!" and saying he would "get them good and proper." Following the verdict, Boston Globe reporter Frank Sibley, who had covered the trial, wrote a scathing protest to the Massachusetts attorney general condemning Thayer's blatant bias. Then in 1924, after denying all five motions for a new trial, Thayer confronted a Massachusetts lawyer at his alma mater, Dartmouth.
“Did you see what I did with those anarchistic bastards the other day?" the judge said. "I guess that will hold them for a while! Let them go to the Supreme Court now and see what they can get out of them!”
The outburst remained a secret until 1927 when its release heightened the suspicion that Sacco and Vanzetti had not received a fair trial.
It can’t happen here! It couldn’t happen today! We’re a civilized society!
Long haired lawyer from California? Whats the world coming too?

I don't want to say that I told you so, but I told you that that part of Tejas was hot. Como te dije I go out there many times a year and I've seen some crazy shit out there. I've partied with Surenos out there and I can tell you that they know what time it is. Sure they might have some wannabes but that type of shit happens everywhere.
I'm not into rap but the way I see it Chicano rap is just as good as mayate rap. But one of the problems is that radio just doesn't give Chicano rap any airtime. So it's not out there as much, and that alone makes a huge difference. The more mellow stuff is starting to get more play and thats firme. But the way I see it the real gangster shit will probably always stay underground.
As for reggaeton well you said it, it took off fast but it's coming down just as fast. It had it's moment but that shit is pretty much played out and sells are dropping big time. I never liked that fucked up music, it all sounds the same to me. But don't get me wrong, I don't mind freaking the shit out of bitches when that shit's played in the clubs.

You guys put up good posts here lately from the discerning listeners of Chicano rap vs. the dark side to the coverage of Sacco and Vanzetti by DQ. All of you know that the term "WOP" stood for "With Out Papers", and was freely used in ref to Italians back then, just like "wetback" or "illegal" is used now for Los Mexicanos.
Jim came with the Legend of Tarface - fuggin hilarious, but bro stay off the pulque, it'll rot your noggin and make you talk funny, Otay?
To the paisano from Covina: The whole "mafia" attachment that you hear and see in reference to your name I'm sure you need to shelve. We've all had that kind of denigration to work around, and you'll agree, it usually comes from a denser life form. Your mention of Italian immigres as being "hard-working, mind their own business, never complaining common folk" does'nt resonate with any Italians I grew up with!! My people had a derogatory name for every faction of society, and I ca'nt cite a more discretionary ethnic group than my own.. Granted they functioned and prospered, worked hard, and were abused some. But it only served to make them more gregarious and lucrative.
Thanks for your words. Your mention of the WWII twenty yrs ago would have caused an interlude. We'd all have thought hard of our relatives and the price they paid for a cause that was all inclusive. There's no "silent moments" anymore except for us seniors. That war , The Great War" is a chapter in History text now. Viet Nam will still raise some hackles, but it too will pass in the wake of Bush's war and the sad stories that will follow.
Some of the links commenters supplied have taken our Wally to task for his Conservative lean? But then he gets kudos from the Southern Poverty Law Center for his defense of the "ethnic cleansing" theory!! So where does that leave us when we try to expedite his pigeon hole?
It's ironic, on one hand he very well may get a hole in proximity to Tom Hayden..But then there's a lot of holes in the desert...

["if the mexican mafia is an american thing then why do they themselves choose to call themselves the eme, tat themselves with the eagle eating the snake, learn to speak nahuatl,"]
The Mexican Mafia, EME for short, was founded as a criminal enterprise. It's initial goal was to "terrorize" the prison system by choosing the elite street gang leaders to accomplish this aim. The name was chosen by Luis "Huero Buff" Flores (a Hawaiian Gardens street gang leader) with careful calculation.
"Mexican" denoted that each member would hail from a Chicano (Mexican-American) neighborhood. "Mafia" was/is an obvious Italian word. The carnales chose it because of the obvious gangster connotation attached to it as well as the fear factor. I suppose one could say it was an acknowledgement of respect to their Italian/Sicilian counterparts. A few years after the M’s birth there was a dispute among some of the carnales with regard to the “Mafia” part of their name. Rudy “Cheyenne” Cadena (whose character was depicted by Edward James Olmos in “American Me”) and Flores came up with the abbreviated term “EME” (the Spanish phonetic pronunciation of the letter “m”). Not only did it satisfy ALL the carnales, because it had the desired “flavor”, but it became a term the prison staff was unfamiliar with (at least in the beginning).
In The Hat Quiz: The name Mexican Mafia and EME were chosen to:
a)Instill Mexican pride within
the Chicano prison population.
b)Instill neighborhood pride in the
Chicano community.
c)Protect Chicano inmates from the
ruthless prison guards.
d)Create a criminal cartel.
e)All of the above
Let's begin with a)Instill Mexican pride within the Chicano population --
Cognizant of it's Mexican heritage, they indeed became eager students of the Nahuatl culture and language. But they “used” this more for a coded manner in which to identify carnales with monikers which allowed them to “fly under the radar” and for coded communications which allowed them to conduct EME business. Much of this EME business, sad to say, was directed at the killing of (you guessed it) fellow Chicanos. I can tell you as an EME expert that at least 95% of the Mexican Mafia’s murder victims (and we’re talking thousands of victims since EME’s birth) have been people of Mexican descent! So we can probably conclude that ethnic pride is not their reason for forming.
So we proceed to b)Instill neighborhood pride in the Chicano community –
The same arguments for “a)” would apply here. If those in the community detest the idea of their children going to a foreign land to die in war with Chicanos dying in disproportionate numbers as compared to other ethnic groups, how can they even begin to defend people like La EME who train youngsters to “worship and aspire” to become EME-loving Surenos, to live a fruitless existence, and then die a “dishonorable” death in the name of what? If this is neighborhood pride then how about some beach front property in Las Vegas? We then conclude that the EME is not motivated by instilling neighborhood pride!
Let’s examine c)Protect Chicano inmates from the ruthless prison guards –
Working as a prison guard in the 50’s and 60’s was relatively smooth sailing because most convicts understood the prison game. The EME changed those rules and the term prison gang was destined to become a household term, especially in California. The Mexican Mafia did not protect Chicano inmates from prison staff. Instead they exploited them for their canteen goods, illegal drugs, and turned many into inmate prostitutes (homosexuals). Any “protection” afforded any inmates, Chicano or otherwise, came with a price tag. There was no benevolent motive whatsoever in any “protection” offered by the Mexican Mafia.
The next multiple choice selection is d)Create a criminal cartel --
By now most of you get the picture. The EME has indeed evolved into an influential criminal monster. Their criminal motives – from beginning to present – are clear to anyone with common sense. They are not the “illusion” that many in the Chicano communities once accused us in LE of concocting in “an attempt to label all Mexicans as belonging to this fictitious Mafia”. Today they are a household word.
The final selection, e)All of the above, is obviously false.
To say that the EME is a "Mexican thing" is partly correct. It is a Mexican thing in name only. The spirit of La EME is to profit criminally with their allegiance (under penalty of death) being to their carnales first, and family second. Any loyalty to a home boy is done so discretionally and it is a temporary thing.
The spirit of La EME is actually anti-Mexican when you examine who their victims really are. The spirit of La EME is destructive to anyone (Chicano or otherwise) who interferes with their criminal plans and goals.
To sympathize with them and, worse than that, to associate with them is to choose an inevitable course to self-destruction.
Peace ....

“Tony Rafael is the pen name of perhaps the most persistent purveyor of the ethnic cleansing frame. Described in the Southern Poverty Law Center story as “a respected writer” who conceals his identity to avoid gang reprisals, “Rafael” is a key source for its assertion that the Mexican Mafia has put out a “green light” for hits on all African Americans. Rafael operates a gang-focused blog site, In the Hat, where he has been making the ethnic cleansing charge against Latino gangs for the last several years. His liberal-baiting book reviews can be found on infamous rightwing culture warrior David Horowitz’s Web magazine Frontpagemag. (Horowitz is a key figure in campaigns against affirmative action and campus multiculturalism.) In one such screed, Rafael tars liberals (e.g., John Kerry supporters) as approving of Holocaust denial theories that are, in point of fact, popular with the far right. His forthcoming book on the Mexican Mafia is from Encounter Books–publisher of Victor Davis Hanson’s anti-immigrant tract, Mexifornia—whose catalog features such conservative stars as Horowitz, Ward Connerly, Thomas Sowell, and William Kristol. While the Mexican Mafia may indeed be ratcheting up racially motivated violence in some neighborhoods, Intelligence Report readers deserve to know that
Rafael’s analysis may be colored by his apparent rightwing leanings.
Tony Rafael sees the Mexican Mafia’s alleged ethnic cleansing policy as an extension of its leaders’ pride in their Aztec ancestry. In an interview published by SPLC, Rafael explains, “[T]here are no black people in the Aztec culture… They see themselves as a race unto themselves, and there’s really not too much room for anybody else.” Some Chicano activists refer to the southwestern U.S. as Aztlán, the Aztec homeland. Rafael’s characterization resonates with a popular racist Reconquista conspiracy theory, peddled by the Minuteman Project and other anti-immigrant groups, which holds that Mexico is infiltrating its citizens into the Southwest with the goal of reclaiming territory conquered by the United States in 1848.
Predictably, white supremacist and other anti-immigrant forces have exploited the “race war” and “ethnic cleansing” frames for their own purposes. In late March, African American Minuteman Ted Hayes led a “civil rights march to stop ethnic cleansing of U.S. black citizens by illegal aliens” on the anniversary of a massive 2006 immigrant rights march. Hayes told some 200 supporters assembled before City Hall that, 40 years after winning civil rights legislation, “Here we are again in the streets of America fighting, marching for our civil rights—this time not from the racists down South but from people who are foreigners illegally within the borders of the United States of America.”

Maybe someone's been watching too many episodes of The Sopranos.
An EME carnal who does something to merit being hit forfeits his life. He also forfeits the manner in which he will taken out. His fate is out of his hands and the EME makes the call on who is to do the job. Do you think the EME cares if their methods "shows more class" or not?
No, senor. They will use whatever resources are at their disposal. In hindsight, the fact that he lived to testify reinforces your suggestion that maybe another carnal should have done the job. Quien Sabe? In the end, it's their call to make.
Wouldn't it be nice if we, the bro's at In The Hat, could determine who would whack whom? But, unfortunately, that would make us co-conspirators! Never mind that idea.

yeah dq was dead on with that sacco and vanzetti post,, and thats like the tip of the iceberg of the similarities, its exactly how he said it too that some people have a short and convenient memory, even the norwegian and swedish and other "white" imigrants had exactly the same issues we raza are having now, i guess with the election coming up and alot of people looking for new and exciting issues to bring up the illegal aliens just got put on front street,
to svvbs,, im 100% pro raza, i was just raised in a different way i guess though, when it sounds like im trying to hate on the raza what im really doing is trying to bring things to peoples attention, for instance passing the blame to someone else seems like ranking out to me, just the way i was brought up in the gang makes me feel that way,
i think we should be very proud of our heritage, we have a very rich heritage, you twisted the whole meaning up homie, you always do that ese, why does it feel like every time someone tries to talk about our own raza and showing different angles it makes them a coconut or sell out,
i always represented the raza wherever i go in the world, and i think i owe alot of my success to the upbringing in the hood, but i dont see why most cholos choose to cop out on life, im pretty sure mine wasnt the only hood that enforced those standards,
when one of our homies got into drama with other fools and came back to the hood for back up the first thing that would happen was they would dam near put him on trial to see how he got jumped or to see if he punked out in anyway, and 90% of the time no matter what happened they would some how find a way to say you werent doing what you were supposed to,
i took that attitude and just carried it with me through my regular daily life, when something goes wrong no matter how much it can be someones fault i always end up finding that theres something that i could have done to avoid it from happening,
and when you look at alot of the richest people or most powerful they have the same kind of attitude, the average sothern cali thug is brought up the same way and then they just flush it all down the toilete,
and i had homies that were way more hardcore than me, those fools should be multi billionaires by now, i guess thats the califas mentality too or at least the LA mentality, its always gotta be about money or fame or power, i didnt like that and thats one of the reasons i left cali too,
i realized that just living a good clean life is all you have to do, why be part of the rat race for, because i think there was alot of cholos from our time that ended up doing alright, even though it just took them alot longer,
me personally im just into the barrio history thats why i keep coming around, some of the stories from the og days are better than fiction,
for example the tvr vbs story, all settripping aside what really went down there, the way i heard it from an og from tujunga named rascal, cuz you might even know him, was that the fools from the dukes or whatever the fools in tujunga were called used to go to poly back when the two hoods were still cool with eachother, according to him this was like 1986-7, either way one of the fools from tujunga was messing around with the main fool from vinelands hina, so the two of them threw down but the fool from tujunga kicked the other fool in the mascara and left the nike sign on his face, so after that the vato from vineland lost alot of face with his homies cuz he had to walk around with the nike logo for a few days so it just erupted into an all out neighborhood dispute,
now thats just the way that fool rascal told the story but i realize he would have reason to change it or dramatize it, whether it happend exactly like that or not im not sure but either way with two hoods being so close to eachother like that you know it was only a matter of time before the drama kicked off,
during the years i heard more stories from different fools that tripped me out too, one fool told me that the pacoima flats, ns alley locos, and logan heights were all tight and they used to roll on the fools from tujunga alot and punk them alot, the thing with me is that i never kicked it tujunga not even once in the 4 years i was banging and i only met like 3 of them, but from what the other homies would say they used to be really deep and one of the downest fools from all of tvr, they were like the heros of our hood, so if they were getting punked what does that say about the rest of our kliks,,
then aside from that i dont think the dukes were even part of tvr in that time, i dont understand how tujunga and the dukes worked into the story, i know the dukes were a different hood but why did they klik up,
in glendale the ogs talked about us going at it with sanfer alot, they never mention pacoima flats, and i met fools from the flats before i heard that story and they didnt settrip with me, when i was banging we didnt have beef with any pacoima, i actually kicked it with those fools at monroe and when i went to sanfernando high too, thats when sanfer and ms were tight and used to roll on blythe,,
theres just alot of angles and storys that not to many people would know about unless they were right there when it happened, and those little stories that i witnessed i wouldnt be surprised if they are still being played out in the wars going on right now,
like one time the fools from vineland were gonna jump my brother together with the fools from nhbz, but i guess the nhbz had just broke the truce and it was only 2 fools from vineland and like 9 from nhbz but they didnt say anything to the fools from vineland and they just sidebusted on them scanless and jumped them,
out of the hoods in the valley i would definitly say vineland was one of the craziest ones, they were the only one i would put on an LA level, ns18 was almost on an LA level but they are almost from LA anyways,
i never ran into any fools form vbs, where i was at we were going at it with langdon and columbus street and who knows who else that was there, now it turns out tvr is enemies with almost all the pacas,
the one i never fully understood was the pacas, what where they, i know it wasnt a barrio called pacoima trece that split into all those hoods, it wasnt even different hoods that joined together to claim pacas, i think it was just different hoods that some got along and some didnt and they all claimed pacas but that didnt mean they were the same hood and everyone was cool with that, lol,, if you dont like one of the pacas then why claim pacas for,
i hear the og pacas is the flats but they are technically flats, kind of like the bolens or the wilmas, or even the longos,
then whatever happened to sol trece, did they join vineland boys, then i heard there was another hood called villa boys, but not the same one form pasa, that was around sun valley that joined vineland, is that true, cuz i remember they used to put vlb and really claimed north hollywood, then it became sun valley vbs, i think thats one of the most organized hoods too,
about the reggaeton it does sound like the same song, its the music with the least amount of substance i have ever heard, i listen to it but after about an hour i have to change it, luckily here the radio wild 104 mixes mostly rap with a little rnb and reggaeton, and even like that it still ends up sounding just like power106 with the same 2 songs all day,
i keep thinking the main problem with getting a mexican or chicano phenom is that theres too many differences among mexicans and all the different titles that they go under, the only way would be by choosing something neutral like pop music,
but you think the chicano rappers sound the same, the average 13 year old in crown heights could out rap most of the chicano rappers, its not hatin, i wish we had a chicano to represent, lil rob is the dopest one to me, i guess it really comes down to an east coast west coast thing, dre and ice cube and all the other west coast negritos are pretty wack to me too, they say the same thing in every song they make,
even snoop dog is pretty weak, i heard one fool from tvr on the power 106 roll call one time he had one it for the week he was pretty dope but that was like5 years ago, i used to try to get on with my skills back in the mid 90s but it never happened, i would probably be a better writer than a rapper though, if i learned how to rhyme,,lol, alright much love peeps alrato

Well come on now, gives us some facts and not just a one line comment without any facts.
Wally, whenever I read or hear about an EME member or associate sent on a mission to off their best friend, or when I hear about an idiot like this coward from Los Nietos beating a 5-year old, I can't help but come to the conclusion that the EME is cutting it's own throat. Some members and associates are not going to accept the sould-wrenching task of snuffing their best friend or an innocent bystander; therefore they are being "forced" into debriefing and in turn they are going to take down several other members and associates and weaken it's structure and loyalty. Now how retarded is that? Are they out to cut their own throat or that of their enemies? No wonder the EME, as Brian Harris puts it, is in a state of chaos. I would think that there are better ways for the EME to handle it's business without forcing it's members or associates to debrief because they refuse to carry out an order that strips them of their remaining humanity and sense of self-worth. The EME and other prison gangs need to understand that it takes much bigger nuts to debrief and go up against an entire prison gang than it does to snuff out your best friend or an innocent bystander they deem expandable. Until these so-called "shotcallers" get this fact thru their skulls, they will contintue to slit their own throats, much to the delight of law-enforcement and law-abiding citizens who just want to raise a family. You say what Wally?
I thought the Great War was WWI not WWII?????
On Rafael's whacked ass theories......You must have been one of those brothers in college that only read books in the black library section. You should take time, go hit up a library, and read Mexico's history by Mexicans arthors not by White ethnocentric American professors. At any university, a black student sees a Mexican/latino student and immediately makes eye contact, greets each other, and a good friendships is born. Why? We are in the same ballgame - unwanted minorities being judged by the America white system of institutions, not by money or character, but strictly by color of skin.
Any well educated professor or educated Chicano will tell you that Mexico City, at one time, had more imported Black slaves than Mexican native Indians. You introduced me to one full blooded living Aztec and I will give you a million dollars. Aside from the Aztecs being the most barbaric and dummest of all Mexican tribes, they were all wiped out with only a small percentage surviving and living the rest of their livs as as secondhand-lower class members of society. Basically they sucked and never did anything good except collected taxes by force, killed, used threats, and all in a manner that would make today's eme violence look like a little kid's game.
What happened to the blacks in Mexico? - Just Visit Veracruz's city "el valle de los negros" and your get some physical answers - but you dont like Mexicans so just stay in racist white trash America.
Talking about racism and your cleansing theories....just remember that gang membership is an American problem, started and promoted in America & made racial by America. Mexicans, blacks and white gang members learned to be racist idiots in the United States by white America. Yes, Mexico discrimates against its people in terms of social classess and color of skin...but tell me who taught them these practices? Who taught them materalism? Who taught them greed? Before you European Whites decided to play GOD and educate the so called savaged primative inferior Mexicans, learn to deal with the consequeces of American and european bigotry....oh sorry America white is too perfect - America white is never wrong. America white can do whatever she wants. Bottom line, your Mr. Rafael are no better than greedy materialism white America. Semi-truck takes man and wheelchair for a ride down Red Arrow Highway
Tribune Staff Report
PAW PAW, Mich. -- A 21-year-old man was taken on a wild ride Wednesday afternoon when the wheelchair he was in became attached to the grille of a semi-truck and was taken four miles down a highway at about 50 mph.
The man, whose name police did not release, was not injured. The driver was unaware he was pushing the man, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police.
Authorities began receiving calls about 4 p.m. that the semi was traveling westbound on Red Arrow Highway, just outside of Paw Paw, with the wheelchair.
"You are not going to believe this, (but) there is a semi pushing a guy in a wheelchair on Red Arrow Highway," an unknown caller told the Michigan State Police.
Police at first believed the calls were pranks. But when troopers responded to the Ralph Moyle Trucking Co. at 39269 Red Arrow Highway where the semi had come to a stop, they noticed the wheelchair with the man sitting in it, still attached.
"It was quite a ride," the man reportedly told police.
"The man spilled his soda pop, but he wasn't upset," Sgt. Kathy Morton of the Michigan State Police said.
Police said the man was unharmed and unfazed by the incident.
The driver was in disbelief when he stepped out of the semi and saw what he had picked up along the way, police said.
"When he saw us, he was like, 'What's going on?'" Morton said.
An investigation revealed the driver had pulled out of a local gas station when the man in the wheelchair pulled in front of the semi, according to police. His wheelchair somehow became lodged by its handles to the front grille.
"Thank God the semi didn't go on (Interstate) 94," Morton said.

To Anonymous,
That was a funny ass comment; don’t forget someone needs to tie a few big rocks to the big lokote before throwing his stupid ass into the pool. Here is a you-tube video with a song (not really a song or music) from what has to be the dumbest person on the planet. In the song he again says fuck everybody, who in the hell would actually spend any money on his crap.

I get a good laugh when Don Culo and SV-VBS tell us about the smart sureno cholos and then we see idiots like the big lokote. They need to watch these you-tube videos and then tell us how only the mayates are really ghetto and low class, uneducated and etc.
Despensa Former Gangster, I guess that I read your other post the wrong way. I know where you're coming from. And I know that you and all the Raza in the merchant marines represent.
I'm into varrio history too but your homies story about how the VBS~TVR pedo started was one that I had never heard before. Maybe what that vato said is true as far as the TVR vato beating down my homie. But I know for sure that that couldn't have happened in 86' or 87'. I was there in that year and believe me there was no TVR at Poly at that time. Maybe it happened after 89', pero esta cabron. The vato would've single handedly started pedo in a place where he was outnumbered 100~1. It might have happened and I never heard of it. But something like that would have been known to all, and like I said this is the first time that I hear of this story. What I know is that the pedo with TVR kicked off sometime in 89' when some TVR's backed up some vatos from PACAS that the homies were getting down with. That happened in Tujunga close to Verdugo High. That's the event that set it off. But the homies never took that pedo with TVR that seriously. Most of the times that the varrio went up to Tujunga they would end up fucking up skinheads and bikers instead of TVR. There were a few times that the varrios bumped heads up there but I don't ever recall TVR ever going down to Sun Valley for some payback. So I don't know how down those vatos were.
Sol Trece still has a couple of vets out there. SV Diablos are the ones that are closer to them. But neither has anything to do with Vineland. They run there own program. There have been a few clickas that join the varrio but I have never heard of a villa boys other than the ones in Pasa. Maybe what you mean is the LVTs. Those are the homies from Lake View Terrece that clicked up a few years back.
Hey Chapin I don't know if you have had a chance to hit the clubs out there where your at. But if you have, are they still doing that country thing where they dance while they circle the dance floor? If it were country music that they were dancing to it would not be that funny but they dance like that to hip hop. Anyways it tripped me out for a minute when I first saw the Tejanos dance like that. I'll be going out there later this month so maybe you'll see me circling the floor with one of those fine Tejanitas de Brownsville.

"Any well educated professor or educated Chicano will tell you that Mexico City, at one time, had more imported Black slaves than Mexican native Indians"
While I am aware that there were a large number of black slaves in Mexico I doubt that they at any time outnumbered the native population. I doubt that they even outnumbered the natives in the coast much less Mexico City. But please show us your source so that we can see the info for ourselves.
"You introduced me to one full blooded living Aztec and I will give you a million dollars. It's obvious that you know nothing of the Mexica culture. To say that say that they were all wiped out and then say that a small percentage survived shows us how ignorant you are. To say that the Mexica never achieved anything and to say that they were the most barberic & dumbest tribe in Mexico only shows us how dumb you are. I don't have enough time to put down enough of their accomplishments to shut you off for good. But I will point you out to one and that was the city of Tenochtitlan. Tell me how it could be that a barberic and dumb people could build the biggest and most modern city of that era? And that includes any of Europe's cities at that time.
And just so you know it's Mexica not Aztec and many did survive. To say that there are no more fullblooded Mexica is like saying that there are no more full blooded Cherokee. There are many full blooded Nahuatl speakers all over the Central Mexican Valley. But you will obviously question if they are Mexica only because they speak Nahuatl. You have to understand what 500 years of complete genocide will do to any people before you can seriously take that stance. The fact that there are Nahuatl speakers in the Valley of Mexico should be more than enough prove to you that our blood is still alive.

Why is that if anyone who is not mexican, reports the truth about latino gangs he is racist? The avenues gangs targeted black and that is a cold hard fact. What if Sr. Rafael were mexican would he just be a good reporter, Sam Quinones also reported about the latino gangs targeting blacks in the Harbor Gateway area is Sr. Quinones a racist for reporting the facts?
See the story about below from todays L.A. Daily news about illegal immigrant gang members being arrested. Is the reporter a minuteman or racist for reporting the story? Sam Quinones wrote the same story for the L.A. Times.

Foreign thugs slip on the ICE
Immigration agency using muscle in L.A.
BY KERRY CAVANAUGH, Staff Writer
In a sweeping crackdown on gang members who are in the country illegally, more than 120 people have been arrested in Los Angeles over the past three months and now face immigration charges, federal prison and deportation, officials said Wednesday.
The arrests, part of a new national effort by local law enforcement and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, mark the first time the federal government has used its immigration authority to target gang members who are in the country illegally.
So far, 5,000 illegal-immigrant gang members have been arrested nationwide, officials said. In Los Angeles, 124 gang members have been arrested and are facing prosecution for immigration violations. Of those, 56 are also facing federal criminal charges, including re-entry after deportation, which has a maximum sentence of 20 years.
"The foreign national gang members we are targeting are not poster children for the American dream," said Robert Schoch, head of the U.S. ICE agency's Los Angeles investigations office. "In fact, these are career criminals that are preying on members in their immigrant communities."
At least four of the gang members were arrested in the San Fernando Valley. Four were picked up in Palmdale and one in Ventura. The aggressive federal efforts come as crime rates rise in metropolitan areas across the country and cities complain about growing gang violence.
Officials from Los Angeles and other cities were in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday to lobby congressional leaders to support stiff new penalties and provide new funding to combat gang violence.
In Los Angeles, officials estimate there are 39,000 local gang members affiliated with about 400 gangs. City officials have beefed up police efforts recently and earlier this month said some types of gang-related crimes in the San Fernando Valley and other parts of L.A. have dropped by as much as 30 percent in the first five months of the year to one of the lowest levels in recent history.
While gang-related homicides saw the biggest drop, the total of all gang-related crimes dropped by 5.5 percent citywide - from 2,521 incidents in the first five months of 2006 to 2,382 in the same period this year. Still, gang-related crimes in the Valley rose about 9 percent.
In February, the LAPD created its own Most Wanted list of gangsters and developed a program that brings in the FBI, federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, county district attorney and city attorney in a coordinated response.
On the federal level, enforcement officials are moving to get gangsters off the street by nabbing them for immigration violations and any other crimes they can.
Under Operation Community Shield, immigration officials are working more closely with the Los Angeles Police Department and City Attorney's Office to identify gang members who are in the U.S. illegally.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said that since April he has passed the names of convicted gang-injunction violators to the U.S. Attorney's Office, which works with ICE to determine their residency status.
Acting U.S. Attorney George S. Cardona said illegal-immigrant gang members have to serve time in state prison for the state crimes they're convicted of - whether gun, drug or violent offenses. Then they serve time in federal prison for immigration violations and are deported upon release.
Typically, immigrants who are convicted of illegal re-entry after being deported serve up to five years in federal prison before being deported again, he said.
Cardona said his staff will "try and do more federal prosecutions to try and let them know that they're not just going to get taken on a bus down, dropped off in Mexico, and then be able to come back four days later if they can find a way across the border without anything happening to them."
(At any university, a black student sees a Mexican/latino student and immediately makes eye contact, greets each other, and a good friendships is born.)
Normal people indeed conduct themselves in this manner. Tony Rafael is talking about a completely different element of criminal mindset.
(Why? We are in the same ballgame - unwanted minorities being judged by the America white system of institutions, not by money or character, but strictly by color of skin.)
And of course "minorities" that feel discriminated against by the system tend to feel this way and tend to form a common bond. Unfortunately the prison gang mentality just doesn’t function that way.
(Any well educated professor or educated Chicano will tell you that Mexico City, at one time, had more imported Black slaves than Mexican native Indians. You introduced me to one full blooded living Aztec and I will give you a million dollars.)
You are commended for a great history lesson. The real world in the U.S. doesn’t seem to totally care about what memory lane has to offer. Besides, the characters that Tony Rafael is referring to, if I'm correct, are the nefarious element of our society, not to be mistaken with the good Black, White, Chicano, etc. folks who seek to exist in peace.
(Aside from the Aztecs being the most barbaric and dummest of all Mexican tribes, they were all wiped out with only a small percentage surviving and living the rest of their livs as as secondhand-lower class members of society. Basically they sucked and never did anything good except collected taxes by force, killed, used threats, and all in a manner that would make today's eme violence look like a little kid's game.)
Ditto. You're good. These are the warlike groups that prison gangs like the Mexican Mafia, Nuestra Familia and the Aryan Brotherhood choose to identify with.
(Talking about racism and your cleansing theories....just remember that gang membership is an American problem, started and promoted in America & made racial by America.)
The "cleansing theory" that Mr. Rafael refers to is indeed a movement - an attempt, albeit one with not a full head of steam - spawned by the EME or Mexican Mafia.
Remember, we are not talking about normal law abiding people here. We are talking about a movement (the Sureno movement) which the EME seeks to use as a galvanizing force to solidify its criminal power base. Call it a "work in progress".
The EME didn't wake up one day and decide they hated blacks because, as you imply, it just doesn't make sense. So, why the hate directed that way? It’s the old Power and Control thing. Their "journey" started in the early-1960’s in the lockdown units of San Quentin, Folsom and Soldedad prisons to name the main joints. They decided that their most formidable foe would be the BGF (Black Guerilla Family). In their arrogant and egotistical minds, the EME never considered the Nuestra Familia a formidable opponent.
It was deemed a “feather in their cap” to take out as many BGF’s as possible.
The BGF fancied itself (in the beginning) to be a radical anti-establisment terrorist group (excuse that word, SNS, but I use it in a different context). The EME viewed the BGF as a group that posed a potential threat to their quest for prison power. In reality, the BGF was happy to co-exist with EME but EME needed to have "fun" and thus the gladiator confrontations became a deadly sport in their quest for superiority. James “Doc” Holiday, the BGF’s longtime leader, often expressed his respect for members of the EME as he could identify with their warriors being one of a warrior mentality himself. Even George Jackson, of the San Quentin Six, teamed up with members of the EME in 1971 and together they executed three (3) prison guards + two (2) inmates in an uprising inside the Adjustment Center. But the “love” was temporary and it ended there.
Like the EME decree on NO drive-by shootings in East L.A. barrios, the “kill all blacks” movement is intended by La EME to be a unifying mechanism aimed at creating a common rallying cry for “dumb street gang members” (for lack of a better way of putting it) and will hopefully dissipate before it escalates. Only time will tell. If the level of unification and Control is accomplished, in the eyes of the EME’s Big Homies, this “ethnic cleansing” decree (green light on blacks) will be called off. I believe that, if allowed to continue, the heat generated by these hate crimes can only generate increased “unwanted attention” on La EME’s criminal activities and this is not good for business.
( Mexicans, blacks and white gang members learned to be racist idiots in the United States by white America.)
They learned to be racist idiots because they chose a life of crime, unsavory to us all regardless of skin color, followed up on their dysfunctional “dream”, banded together( by racial composition) behind bars for protection, and lashed out against members of other races. Sometimes, a “victim” needs to be a man (or woman), stop playing the victim card and take the necessary steps to become law abiding and productive. If it’s a person who has been dealt a bad hand, then REDEMPTION becomes the operative word. With community assistance, a person has the opportunity to turn one’s life around and do the right thing. There’s no such thing as “too late”.
(Bottom line, your Mr. Rafael are no better than greedy materialism white America. Creating bullshit stories and twisting facts to collect royalties on publishing what whites in America wants to hear in their self conscience that there is another group worst then them....)
This appears to be the classic case of “attacking the messenger”. First of all and Bottom line: you don’t know Tony Rafael to describe him in the manner above. Like many of us, he too finds it unsettling, if not abhorrent, to discover the evil in the hearts of the depraved, criminal mind. When you talk about someone being “no better than greedy materialism”, I see you looking a Mexican Mafia soldier in the eye and saying this to HIM, not Tony Rafael. The greedy exploiters are indeed members of the EME, BGF, AB and NF. That’s right, the EME has always been an Equal Opportunity Exploiter – from Day One to the present and beyond. Their feeble attempts at disguising themselves as the Vanguard of La Raza fooled no one.
Similarly, the BGF “evolved” into a greedy opportunistic drug dealing, ho’ pimping cartel that has no resemblance to those “kill Whitey” roots from which it was spawned. The Nuestra Familia (protector of Northern California “farmers”) and the Aryan Brotherhood (sporting Nazi tattoos and adherers to the Gospel of I-Hate-All-Blacks) are now full-fledged criminal enterprises with federal R.I.C.O. racketeering indictments and convictions under their belts.
Do we blame the Land of Opportunity for giving us too much opportunity to exploit this land of milk and honey? I think it’s a simple case of folks taking the wrong avenue to achieve prosperity. It used to be “in” to blame Whitey for all our woes? Have we exhausted the “It’s-All-Whitey’s-Fault” card too?
Peace ...........
Tijuana Jailer
To Tijuana Jailer,
As usual your posts are insightful and educational, it’s good to get first hand knowledge about the sureno gang criminals. I see Wally has received a little more press from the internet radio interviews and he was also in the article in the color-line web-site. I remember just a year ago when Wally’s blog was one of the few places that were giving gangs any media coverage, now the mayor, police chief and news media have finally jumped on Wally’s bandwagon. I now expect to hear from our two sureno/gang cheerleaders and have them tell us about all the positive and good things the cholos do for our community.
I wonder how many times Wally’ has talked to Sgt. Valdemar from the L.A. sheriff’s department to get information for his book. How many copies of Wally book are going to end up in the California prison system?
Wally hurry up and read many books on mexico’s history because I am sure every young cholo is an expert in the history of mexico, and that is why they are in gangs.

THE BIG STINK WALLY,
LA residents told to cut showers as drought deepens, It is the driest year since rainfall records began 130 years ago.
Wed Jun 6, 2007
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles residents were urged on Wednesday to take shorter showers, reduce lawn sprinklers and stop throwing trash in toilets in a bid to cut water usage by 10 percent in the driest year on record.
With downtown Los Angeles seeing a record low of 4 inches
of rain since July 2006 -- less than a quarter of normal -- and with a hot, dry summer ahead, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said the city needed "to change course and conserve water to steer clear of this perfect storm."
It is the driest year since rainfall records began 130 years ago.
The Eastern Sierra mountains, where Los Angeles gets about half of its water supply, marked its second-lowest snowpack on record this year.
That and the lack of rainfall could force the nation's second largest city into full drought mode in coming months, officials said.
Below average rainfall for the past few years has also turned the traditional summer southern California fire season into an all-round event. Firefighters battled two major brush fires in May alone, at the Los Angeles landmark Griffith Park and on the tourist island of Catalina.

NUESTRA FAMILIA STILL IN BUSINESS
Leaders' prison transfers shift, confuse balance of power among feared gang's street operators

The transfer of five Nuestra Familia generals and captains to federal prison last month caused a dramatic shift in the gang's leadership, but police say little has changed on Monterey County streets.
The shift at the top hasn't stopped the "organized work of the Nuestra Familia" in the area, said Salinas police Lt. Manny Perrien.
"The people on the streets, the soldiers, are still taking care of business," he said.
The gang continues to have a role in organized robberies and the drug trade, controlling heroin sales in areas such as Chinatown in Salinas.
"Those things are pretty firm regardless of the top. Whether the general is in Colorado or Northern California, the day-to-day operation is still happening," Perrien said.
But at higher levels, there is evidence of strife as the gang splits into two divisions -- state and federal.
The transfer of the leaders, said Devan Hawkes, a gang investigator at Pelican Bay prison, has already sown confusion among Nuestra Familia members. New California leadership has emerged at the prison, but Hawkes said members on the streets are unsure whether they should take orders from the old leaders in federal custody or a new general in Pelican Bay. Leadership "conflicts" have developed in Salinas, San Jose and San Francisco.
"There is currently an investigation by the (Nuestra Familia) into loyalties in Salinas and within other prisons," Hawkes said.
Today, David "DC" Cervantes of Chino is the sole general at the head of the Nuestra Familia in Pelican Bay, Hawkes said. Cervantes has taken charge of Monterey County operations.
Another general, James "Conejo" Perez, has been demoted, though investigators are not sure why.
Four captains have been placed in charge of various regions, investigators said: Antonio "Chuco" Guillen, 39, from San Jose, said to be responsible for NF operations in Santa Clara County; George "Puppet" Franco, 39, from San Jose, responsible for Stockton, Tracy and Fresno; Jose Armando "Huero" Gonzalez, a longtime captain, and Shawn "Bubbles" Cameron, 29, of Hanford.
Though the transfer from one supermax prison to another may have only shifted the problem out of state, Hawkes said the move was still worthwhile.
"How they address the Nuestra Familia in the federal prisons, I don't know, but with them gone, it really gave us the opportunity to step up our efforts," Hawkes said. "They had to reorganize and restructure."
More important, he said, communication between Pelican Bay and the street has been hindered.
"Communication is their biggest problem right now, and a lot of what they're communicating is not getting where they want it."

Show more class? Why not be smart about it and have some nobody catch the case rather then an important member? That sounds like mayate talk, worrying about looking good first and handling buisness second. Look at it like this La Eme is the government and surenos are their police officer, you know the long arm of the law in that case though the long arm of crime HAHAHAHA.
"Youngster with Game"
thost same nobodie that you speak of goes to the joint after becomes a eme keyholders and then sends you on some stupid mission and you become that nobdy. How stupid is that??
Hilton released from jail for 'medical issue'... Confined to house for 40 days... Sparks Outrage... Sharpton Blasts Justice System... They didn't even require her to undergo a cavity check, had they, they would of found a Blackberry in there Wally!!!
So, how is it that the sheriff dept. can do something that the judge claims he will not allow??? Judge, who is in control of this mess, the Hilton family and their lawyers or you???? I am not really surprised. Now all the 10 and 11-year-old girls who want to grow up to be heiresses (or, like one I know, go to school to design pet clothing) will have an idea of how the justice system works.
I doubt there's a regular reader of this blog that does'nt agree with TJ's synopsis that EME is comprised of ruthless, self-serving manipulators. Hopefully their covers will get pulled further, and their underbelly will eventually expose itself to eradication. All the dynamics that make their venture succeed can, with any luck, serve to destroy them. The first step is already in motion: THEY ARE ALREADY IN CUSTODY.
The forces of good and righteous intent has all day to form a plan for transposing these young intellects towards a more positive direction. It's probable the paid political mouthpieces are'nt going to bring anything to the table but more of the same rehash.
Some of you have already thrown up your hands and said I'm fulla mierde for even thinking such a thing. I tell you that greater threats have been wiped from the face of civilization. Consider the Nazis or any of the secret police that ran the Eastern Bloc and many of the Islamic states..
Populations, ethnic groups, when they finally muster purpose can undo ANY adversity. It requires will and a deep understanding of the foe. Lao Tsu, right?
I quit being a sheep many years ago. Granted I'm pretty much a contented cow now.
How now the rest of you Brown Cows?
PS. thanks TJ for what you bring.
IM NOT CUTTING MY SHOWERS FOR NO ONE..( DONT TELL THE MAYOR)..WITH LOVE, LOS ANGELES RESIDENT.
Good to hear your calming and succinct voice more often Tijuanero!
You remind me of the old Gavacho coach we were so fortunate to have as kids at the old Downey Playground in Lincoln Hts.
He was always cutting through the bullshit and aiming for clarity and fairness in his calm and understated way of speaking.
That old Huero saved many Chicano kids from the gang life ( even though in my old Clover neighborhood we produced many Brothers)
And your pointing out the futility and dead end of the gangster life is right on.
The Carnal's are just another in a long line of totalitarian govt's,
Poor youngsters getting caught up in the mix and thinking they are on there way up, end up getting used big time.
You could probably tell us some stories about some kid being ordered to waste some nobody for no other good reason than to provide a good laugh for the Mero's, que no Tijuas? I have seen this take place myself on more than one occasion and it's enough to make you sick.
ANd this is part of the answer to SNS's question about why the Big Homies don't order a cease fire to all the LA (and elsewhere) gang violence.
Why would they? The saving of lives? No, the gang violence is like a gladiator school or training and proving grounds for youngsters who excell in what Mundo Mendoza so correctly described as "a completely twisted social order that was developed".
A youngster who may be viewed as a vicious, merciless, sociopathic young killer, by society as a whole, is looked at in a completely different manner by the Mero's, this same young gangster is often "taken under the wing" of some "Mentor" for future use.

What Hilton learned from her hard time
By Steve Lopez, Times Staff Writer

About that ankle bracelet for Paris Hilton: Is it designer, I hope?
My guess is that by the time you finish reading this, Hilton will have an entire line of home-confinement jewelry on the market.
Thanks to Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca's generous release program, Hilton did slightly more than three days of a 45-day sentence for driving without a license after it had been suspended because she drove under the influence.
It seems like only yesterday that Baca spokesman Steve Whitmore was telling me her crime and sentence were a serious matter, and the professional party girl was expected to serve at least 23 days.
But that was before reports of a serious medical condition.
I'm not sure what was ailing Hilton, but I have to assume it was something more serious than a bad reaction to a bologna sandwich. I attended a parole hearing just last week for an L.A. County Jail inmate who served eight months for stealing a lightbulb despite having cancer, AIDS and dementia.
TMZ.com said the sheriff released Hilton because she "was in peril of having a nervous breakdown."
This was after discovering they didn't have any toenail polish.
"I want to thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and staff ... for treating me fairly and professionally," Hilton said in a statement.
Thank them?
She should have "I love Lee Baca" engraved on the ankle bracelet.
"I'm going to serve the remaining 40 days of my sentence," said the professional celebrity.
Yeah, while working on that new jewelry line, if not a book on how serving hard time changed her life.
"I have learned a great deal from this ordeal," Hilton's statement continued.
What, you ask?
1. Sheriff Baca is amazing!
2. I can probably push Lindsay Lohan in front of a bus and be out of jail in two weeks.
"Today, David "DC" Cervantes of Chino is the sole general at the head of the Nuestra Familia in Pelican Bay, Hawkes said."

So is Paris Hilton connected with EME because she seems to know the movidas in L.A. county jails. You know she must be a carnala to work the system the way she did.
Now she is spending the rest of her sentence, at her firme house. Is she taking care of business in Beverly Hills and HollyWood Hills. She has the keys to the varrio with the most feria. I wonder if another carnal wants to take over Beverly Hills and HollyWood hill from her. I wonder ifshe is going in the hat for bring to much prss to the other EME carnales,
TJ: "The BGF fancied itself (in the beginning) to be a radical anti-establisment terrorist group (excuse that word, SNS, but I use it in a different context)."
Funny you keep dropping that on my doorstep, when Mr. Rafael himself shared the same sentiments I do on the "terrorist" label in one of his blog entries a few years back.
"Like antibiotics, or alcohol, the word terrorist should only be applied when absolutely necessary, otherwise the meaning will become deluded."

Look at the entire video to see how Paris Hilton is connected to Mayor Villaraigosa. Paris and Antonio have had a "personal" relationship for a while.
She may be young but she has more connections then any old Los Angeles politico
I see you guys are all upset with your panties cagados with what my little sister's posting regarding la historia de los Aztecas....lol
Her facts are totally correct, the Aztecs were at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of intelligence whether you cry baby chicanos nazis like it or not. lol Her details about the Blacks in Mexico city outnumbering the Mexican Indians is legit too. She is talking about a period after the arrival of H.Cortez in the first 5-10 years of occupation. Again, whether you hate the thought to even think that you have black blood mixed in with your muy chingon Brown Pride Azecta sureno 13 big EME mexicano taco tortas carne asada carnitas de puerco...your all hyprocrites to a certain extent...
she is just in her first year in at USC - wait until she is a senior. She wants to go to Hastings and be a DA for LA County one day. Her goal is to be a top DA and put you gangsters in the electric chair......She has a special place for the VINELAND BOYS.
I'm so proud of her!!!
.........lol
:)
Ese Smiley:) I am just asked for your source on that. If it's true oh well. But I don't believe it. To say that all Mexicano blood is mixed with mayate is fucking stupid and baseless. The mayate population in Mexico has never been above 2%. What you say is as stupid as saying that all White American blood is mixed with mayate. There were way more mayates brought to America so that would be a more logical possibility que~no.
As far as your sister having a special place for my varrio. All I can say is that it's cool. That's just part of the game. But tell her to watch out and stay away from Chicanos when she goes out with her SC friends. The homies love to get with those good girls, and those good girls always seem to kick in.

Let me set one thing straight for all you aztecas...
most cholos have big ass brochas and goatees! pure indian blood can be evidenced by lack of facial hair in most cases. How all these vatos with huge barbas and backs covered in hair claim aztec pride exemplifies their ability to follow without any critical thinking abilities in play. They are followers because if they weren't they'd know most of the blood flowing through them is spanish or european. I quit that whole aztec pride pedo when i took a good hard look at myself and decided im not an indio...not that there's anything wrong with being an indiginous people but it is what it is. You guys with hella body hair claiming azteca are no better than them wiggers trying to be something your not....im learning nauhuatl anyways
on paris hilton...don't hate ...that ruca is fine and all these fuckers crying unfairness cause she was released are just hating...al sharpton was crying racism...what about OJ mofo? he's eloquent but picks some stupid battles to fight...a gang of people are on house arrest or released early due to overcrowding everyday...motherfuckers are just mad at their sorry lives and want paris to join them in thier misery...my ruca already gave me the greenlight to spend a night in paris if the oportunity should arise...its not impossible...your only as big as your dreams and thats just my little wet dream...FREE PARIS
The homies love to get with those good girls, and those good girls always seem to kick in.
YOU MEAN THE WHITE TRAMPS THAT GO TO COLLEGE? I NEVER SEEN AN ACTUAL GOOD GIRL FUCK WITH THE HOMIES. ITS USUALLY THE FUCK-UPS WHOSE DADDY PAID THEIR WAY THROUGH SCHOOL AND DIDNT SUPERVISE THEM ENOUGH. THEY MIGHT BE IN COLLEGE, BUT THAT DIESNT MAKE THEM GOOD GIRLS...SEEMS LIKE YOU VATOS LIKE THAT WHITE MEAT...WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THAT AZTEC PRIDE? MAYBE ITS WHAZTEC PRIDE?
JUST FUCKING WITH YOU ....IM OUTTA HERE FOR A LONG WHILE SINCE INTERNET USE WILL BE MONITORED OVER HERE FOR A WHILE...ALRATO LOCOS-STAY UP

David Cervantes was raised in Chino. His family moved to Selma in the early-1960's when he was just a puppy. His previous street moniker was "Happy from Selma" until he later dropped the "Happy" and was just David.

"Do we blame the Land of Opportunity for giving us too much opportunity to exploit this land of milk and honey? I think it’s a simple case of folks taking the wrong avenue to achieve prosperity. It used to be “in” to blame Whitey for all our woes? Have we exhausted the “It’s-All-Whitey’s-Fault” card too?"

Tijuana Jailer
Tijuana Jailer, maybe the Mayates were into the blame Whitey card but I don't remember during my gangster years or even doing time ever "blaming WHitey" for our predicament. There were many "whiteys" from the different varrios that suffered our same fate, and many institutions and staff in those days were "Black Oriented", and the Chicano's and gavachos seemed always at the end of the gravy train. The mayates always got preferential treatment, especially if they worked the lambe culo ploy (which they seemed to have a talent for!)
Doesn't mean us Chicano's weren't aware of White Man racism because in my day it was very obvious and in your face any time you left the Mexican American varrios.
On many occasions I and other Chicano's were stopped while in Glendale or East Pasadena or other places and questioned about why we were there or what one was doing, the old infamous "Sundown laws" (Get out of town before sundown greaser!), sometimes being arrested for bullshit charges like jaywalking, suspicion of one thing or another.
I recall being arrested by the LA SHeriffs in Altadena for having a "concealed weapon", which was a school pencil I had in my pants pocket.
You know the routine, Tijuas, but we seemed to be more conscious of the "Class or Economic prejudice" rather than a "blame whitey" attitude.
Little story to illustrate what I mean by prejucice in those days.
Early 60's, bunch of us from the neighborhood (6) were cruising down Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock,(which was lily white in those days), on our way to a party in Pasadena, the car a beautiful, low, fine 55 Chevy, belonged to one of the homeboys "Willie" who himself was a gavacho from the neighborhood.
We stop at "Bob's Bigboy" for a hamburger and immediately are confronted by some whiteboys there.
We almost get into a beef there on the spot but agree to meet at closeby Yosemite Playground to settle this shit.
We eat our burgers, the "Paddy's" had taken off, So about a half hour later we decide to cruise on down to Yosemite Playground, but when we pull into the parking lot we are immediately surrounded by about 50 gavachos who come out of the dark and surround the car. We were about 16, 17, 18 yrs old at the time but many of these Gavachos we found out later were football player's from Glendale College.
They start yelling "Kill the Pachucos!" and start hitting Willies 55 with baseball bats and shit.
Willie guns the engine and we get to the other side of the parking lot but are trapped, and we all jump out and take off running down the street being chased by these guys with bats.
(by the way, they turned Willies 55 over, broke out all the windows and tried to burn it, fucked it up bad)
We are running for our lives and fighting these guys off, I and another homeboy run into the backyard of a house and climb up a wooden ladder to the roof of a shed.
On the roof were a bunch of bricks which we used to smash the heads of these gavachos who were below us.
Homeboy and myself can look out into the street in front and see all these skinhead football players surrounding our guys ,
(TJ you might know of two of them, one became a notorius Carnal from ES Clover before getting religion while at Lompoc, and the other was the late "Joe Bonzalli" from Temple St who ended up doing life for various killings),
Anyway we thought they were dead meat cause they were surrounded and bats and shit were swinging all over.
To our surprise watching this from the rooftop (and throwing bricks!) the crowd of attackers back up, there are 3 or 4 guys on the ground and a bunch of them are screaming, Joe Bonzalli has a 6" knife and the other homeboy has a long screwdriver in his hand and both are sticking these guys as fast as they can move. (Eleven of them end up in the hospital, one had his lung removed )
The police show up and arrest all six of us at gunpoint, they had us handcuffed in the back of the squad cars and beat our ass's with billy clubs all the way to the Highland Park Police Station.
Not one of those Glendale College Football players was arrested and the next day on the front page of the Glendale Newspaper was the headline
"Local Youth's hospitalized after being attacked by Pachuco's"
Maybe we just didn't get it but we didn't go to the "WHitey card" then, it was more about rich vs poor as I recall.

Just when I thought the old cholo can't say anything more ridiculous than before. Maybe the old cholo didn't blame "whitey" back in the 60's but he sure blames whitey now. I suggest you go back and read your posts because according to you the gabachos are to blame for every fuck-up a cholo ever made during his life time.
According to ;) smiley face every mexican including Don KKK has some mayate blood. Now there is something for Don KKK to think about.
I also remember getting caught stealing hub-caps by a white cop back in the day, that pince gabacho cop took me to jail, damn racist cops.
I hope I don't ever meet ;) little sister, because there would be nothing worse than being sent to jail by a young latina with aztec/black blood. (lol)

Screaming Paris Hilton Sent Back to Jail.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - 0607xhiltonwrap Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home.
"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton, who violated her parole in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.
Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, came into the courtroom disheveled and weeping, hair askew, sans makeup, wearing a gray fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks.
She cried throughout the hearing, her body shook constantly and she dabbed at her eyes. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you."
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by the morning's developments. He said he had left the courthouse Thursday night having signed an order for Hilton to appear for the hearing.
When he got in his car early Friday, he said, he heard a radio report that he had approved Hilton's participation in the hearing by telephone, but he had not.
"I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions," he said of the decision to release Hilton from jail after three days.
"At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home on Kings Road," Sauer said.

yeah tijuana jalier and don q are both dead on, that just shows to me how hardcore it is to be a chicano hood in glendale and tujunga, cuz the thing in our barrio from the begining is that it was never considered even remotely a chicano neighborhood,
when i was growing up in gdale you were considered a criminal for just being latino, so joining the gang was one of the ways to get back your pride and self respect by standing up to the system, at least thats what i thought when i was joining,
i really wanted to be down for the raza, and i still do, thats one of the reasons i had to leave the hood, and the stories of the carnales being self-serving well thats truth because thats what i witnessed from alot of my og homies that had come out from the pinta,
i know we used to go at it with the skinheads in tujunga too but we had alot of white boys in the hood in tujunga and they were as down if not downer than alot of the mexican members,, aside from that i can say that the vast majority of vatos in our hood and i think in alot of hoods were straight up paisas, they were down though, then there was hella fools that were salvadoran too, in the glendale tvr it was like that, but the one in northeast LA it was 100% chicano to the point that no one spoke spanish down there, i was like one of the few fools in glendale that was like that even though i understood it but i never really used spanish back then,
anyways that story my homeboy told me about way back in like 86, it probably did happen different, he says it was just a few fools that had got kicked out of verdugo hills that went to poly, the one about villa boys who knows what that was, but it was before lvt even was around,
the one that tripped me out the most was about logan heights, i know theyre a san diego hood but they somehow came up in the valley, and as small as they were those fools smoked two fools from tvr over the years,
anyways i dont know if youve seen the clanton website but one of the fools that made it was from the north hollywood clanton, and that fool had alot of stories from that time, i think he was around from like 1983 to 93 or something in the valley but now that fool lives somewhere in texas, either way he says they were partially responsible for vineland coming up, and fullly responsible for nhbz and nhls, i believe about the boyz but not the locos and the vineland, either way when we lived in sunvalley and moved to gdale after that we almost moved to those apartments on vineland near sherman way, , ironically my dad said if we live there we would just end up being cholos, so we moved to gdale and ended up being cholos anyways, lol,, its hard to raise kids in LA,
at least here they dont have that problem too much, its mostly the big weight movers, the cartels own bville from the mayor to the congressman to the judges and school principals in my opinion, so they hold back the outsiders from moving in like the surenos,
i been to the clubs but i never seen what your talking about, i wouldnt be surprised though, i went to the club in matamoros where they had the norteno music, that tripped me out, then i also seen a placazo from eastside clover hit up in southmost, i didnt know but thats where don quixote was from, he has some good og stories,
then i saw in houston the nortenos are deep there, i never saw them walking around but from the graffitti it looks like theyre og nortenos not just claimers,
homegirl or homeboy, whatever it was, talking about the aztecs, that sounds like a coconut to me, oddly enough that person would fit right in with the da office, its true there was alot of negritos in mexico but the mixed in alot with the natives, you can tell especially in the eastcoast of mex, aside from that though the only reason there werent millions of mexica around is because the spanish sailors and soldiers were all infested with syphilis and who knows what other diseases and they infected the natives which had no defenses against it,
and the fact that they were only servants or lower class just shows how ignorant the europeans really were, they did a fine job with planet earth by dam near polluting it to the point that human beings wont be able to live here anymore, yeah that was really good of them,
the mexica had their downsides too though, for one not even half of the people living in the aztec empire were mexica, and the ones that werent actually hated the mexica, the parts of central mex that werent under aztec rule were enemy tribes of the empire and were just waiting for someone like the spanish to arrive to take down the aztecs,
so equating mexico with aztec is incorrect i think, there were other great tribes like the olmecs and toltecas and huastecas and totonecas, the tlaxcala which were the biggest enemies of the aztecs, the tribes i give props to were the comanches because they didnt go out quietly, it wasnt until like the mid 1800s that they were finally wiped out,
its true that tenochtitlan was the largest city in the world at its heyday, the problem i think is that modern people think that were the only ones smart enough to come up with the stuff we have, but when you look back people have had technology and done amazing things since way before our modern times,
you dont make a city of more than 1 million people without having alot of advanced technology, philosphy, economy, every thing that ends with y,
thats the same way like youngsters on the streets now think they are hardcore, but try being a cholo in the 40s and 50s when chicanos didnt have the same rights, like i think youngster with game said, its easy to be a soldier when thers no war, the chicanos in the 40s-70s did the bulk of the fighting for us to be where we are today, all weve done from the 80s to now has been flush their work down the toilete, i hate to sound like a nazi but thats what i think, then with the coconuts just playing right in to it it isnt helping our raza either, ask an average 11 year old chicano who cesar chavez was and theyll say its a street in eastlos, if they even know about eastlos cuz the kids in the valley wouldnt even know that, lol, i guess alot of that is just the american way though, ask the average 11 year old white kid about the mayflower or francis drake and i doubt they will know, people just dont care about anything but material and superficial things, especially in cali, in a way though i respect those people more than the ones that are running our country, that are supposedly educated, lol, at least if you dont know because you dont care your honest,
yeah i seen that story that don q was telling and i feel him on that, when i used to tell people like old chicanos that i went to glendale college they would always bust out a story about the bs that would go down there, or when we barely came there in 1984 it was like mississipi, and for the raza it was bad but there wasnt even one negrito family in all of gdale, you would never even see a negrito, when you would walk down glendale blvd at night and just stop to look in one of the windows at a store the cops would stop you right then and there, and im not talking about young thugs but older couples or moms with their kids, like my moms, we would get on the bus and my mom would talk to us in spanish becuase we didnt even speak english yet, and you could guarantee that someone would volunteer to tell you to speak english only because this is america, my moms would just ignore them but they were pesados though, the teachers at my elementary told my mom to only speak english at home so it would be easier for us to learn english, and as soon as we left my mom would tell me that we would always speak spanish at home because we were who we were no matter what, now adays all the messed up people that chose to become coconuts wish they could be down with the latino culture, and im talking about 84, the ones in the 60s didnt have any choice like we did,
well thats all for now, i gotta go to south padre island with my hina, all the people in cali just go to realtor.com and see what you could get in brownsville for less than 100grand,
former gangster
To the guy who say's there were more blacks thens locals in Mexico city back in the day is on crack. It's just not possible. Brazil had the most slaves of any nation in the America's at that time. Sure Mexico had their share but it was much smaller compared to parts of Central and South America and the U.S. Like someone mentioned before along the Altantic coast side of Mexico is where you'll find the blacks. As for the whole Aztec thing, to say they were the lamest of the tribes is just stupid, come on, look at some of the engineering feets they did with building etc.
And yes 90% of Mexicans are of mixed European and Indian blood. Some have more of one blood then the other. You can always tell a pure Indian, they don't have the facial hair, they have that baby face look, normally very short and a different skin color/tone as well. Not all Mexican's have Spanish, some have Irish, Basque, Scottish, Welsh and French as well. The former President FOX had some Irish in him someplace with that last name.

When I was a kid, I didn't even know the names of the cities that existed north of Highland Park. In a blue moon, we would take a weekend trip to visit an aunt in Highland Park, it was like a vacation to another part of California ese.
In those days, Highland Park mexicanos kids would sit around and ask us all about the gang violence in Southeast LA. In all truth and no bullshit, those kids were good kids that could not handle a thug from Watts, Lynwood or Compton. We were in a different ballgame, class, and dress attire. Not even the E-LOS vatos were step up to the chingasos from our neighborhoods.

Wesley Snipes Plays Race Card
Actor claims "selective prosecution" in felony tax avoidance case
JUNE 8--Facing trial in a bizarre tax avoidance scheme, actor Wesley Snipes claims that prosecutors used race as a factor in deciding to charge him with failure to file six years worth of IRS returns. In a motion to dismiss an eight-count indictment filed last October, Snipes argues that he is the victim of selective prosecution. Snipes points to the fact that his two "Caucasian" codefendants, Douglas Rosile and Eddie Kahn, have not been charged with failure to file tax returns, though investigators are aware that Kahn did not file returns for six years and that it was "possible" Rosile did not file for two years. Snipes, who was hit with six felonies for failing to file between 1999-2004, contends that the half-dozen counts were "impermissibly brought on the basis of Mr. Snipes' race" and should be "dismissed based on selective prosecution." Snipes, Rosile, and Kahn have been accused of attempting to defraud the government by claiming that the actor was immune to taxation based on the "861 argument." That claim, which has long been rejected by IRS officials, referd to a section of the federal tax code. Along with playing the race card, the Snipes motion, an excerpt of which you'll find below, claims that the celebrity was actually a victim of "unscrupulous tax advice," not a willing participant in a criminal conspiracy hatched by Rosile and Kahn. As such, a second motion notes, Snipes is mulling a lawsuit against his two codefendants "to recover the losses he suffered as a result of his reliance upon the advice given to him."
BLAME DA WHITE MAN, AND SATAN.
Antonio "Chuco" Guillen is the guy who put together the team that smoked Robert "Brown Bob" Viramontes the former NF Mesa Member. I guess he was promotede for his role in the murder.
His pompadoured henchman, Silvio Dante, is barely breathing and full of holes; his brother-in-law Bobby is dead and Tony Soprano himself is left in a darkened bedroom, clutching a machine-gun -- like a frightened child holding a teddy bear.
He is so abandoned that even his long-conflicted therapist has dropped him as a patient after being convinced by colleagues that "the talking cure" doesn't work on sociopaths.
In case you haven't figured it out, the end is near -- on Sunday, to be exact -- for one of television's most riveting programs and maybe for its chief character, North Jersey mob boss, Sam's Club member and all around family man, Tony Soprano.
And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.
Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way...
VBZ - check this out, I met one of your shot callers homies that jumped out with full permission from one of your high ups prior to the RICO cases on your compadares (depending on your age, you probably know him because this is hard to accomplish). He understood my position and career of busting your big homies and shot callers. He requested a favor of making a telephone call to say that one of the RICO vatos had a good heart and that he only exclusively focused in big dope sells. This big homie gave this vato a hand when he had no where to go and out of luck....a favor never forgotten.
Aside from telling me about how Garcia was a nobody in the neighborhood, he explained in details and gave examples of how your neigborhood was f-ing up over the greed of the American dollar. I give you credit on moving out of state and I can see that you disconnected herself from your neighborhood - if not, you would have gotten a door knock by now. :)
Yes, you guessed it, i'm the one that kicks down all the topics and recommeded books for my little sister to read.
I can tell you that she can now do circles around the majority of you so called gangster chicanos.
When los Reyes Catolicos stated giving out land grants they granted black slaves from africa.
you can find it in more than one book...but i dont have time to be a college instructor at this time.

All animals, including humans, are born with a limited set of reflexes--genetically wired-in responses to specific environmental stimuli. A reflex is a relationship between a specific environmental event (a stimulus, A reflex is a relationship between a specific environmental event (a stimulus, or S) and a fixed behavioral action (a response, or R) that it evokes.
Pavlovian conditioning is all about the fact that we learn to associate these pre-existing SR relationships to new stimuli. In a nut shell I post, you _bitch_.

From one of the "anonomouses"
"DQ - admit you were living the high class in those days. "
Why by "birdogging chicks and banging beaver" in Pasadena, Eagle Rock or Glendale?
yea maybe a taste of highclass!
A lot of those cute "rubia's" went for us Chicano's big time. It was like picking fruit, you just had to watch the jura who would bust a Chicano's ass de volada's.
A Mayate SHeriff (named "Brantley" I'll never forget that asshole) pulls me over in Altadena one time after I picked up my girlfriend, who was a very beautiful blond, this cop was pissed off cause I was with this blond and after rousting me he asks her like a racist himself, "Miss how old are you? she tells him 17, he says "does your father know who your with here?"
Uncle Tom Mudder fodder!
And by the way the homeboys in Compton and Willowbrook in my days were considered country farmers, (they had all kinds of cows, pigs, chickens down there) they would shit their pants when around us vatos from the East Side, they always considered us Superior, if you are legit you'll admit it, but probably not lol
ps In my day Lynwood, SouthGate, were lily white outposts.
